yeah the trailer looked amazing especially the daytime desert scenes my dad likes this movie, but i hated it as a kid seemed sooooooooooooooo slow ill probably order it for my dad, maybe ill like the movie now that im older

I compared a few shots between the trailer and the dvd and there's no doubt the Blu is gonna destroy the dvd.

However, I'd like to request that anyone who didn't like the look of 300 steer clear and spare the board the dozens of threads complaining about film grain.

LOL if you don't like grain stay clear of ANY SPEILBERG movie, and mostly from War of the Worlds...

It's nice now with HDM , it's so precise that you can enjoy film like they are supposed to be and not the blob mess that are dvd's...

Just saw the trailer (and although it's one of the good vintage Spielbergs, like "E.T." I'd had a bellyful of the original when it was out to last me a lifetime, so I haven't rushed to watch the full disk)--

And again, judging from the trailer clips of the desert scenes, to say "They went back in a time machine and plucked the pristine print out of the 70's" doesn't do it justice: It looks like it was filmed yesterday.
Now bring on those other 30th Anniversary AFI 100 films!...Wasn't Paramount supposed to do "Saturday Night Fever" before the Bribe?
