I'm going 100% Amazon.com ... screw HMV, Future Shop and all the other Canadian retailers that are rapping us, up the ass with their crazy prices.
I just bought Meet the Robinsons from HMV and paid $37 taxes in.
Hope they enjoy that $37, cause it's all gonna be going to Amazon.com from now on.
For xmas i'm getting $200 to put towards blu-ray's.. i hope amazon has good blu specials during the holiday season.

I had posted earlier about Amazon.com.

I bought We were Soldiers for $19.95 from .com

On the Canadian site it was $56.

I saved over $150 by going .com I also didn't pay shipping and got it sent priority. They had quoted a 2 week delivery time, when I clicked proceed with order it went to a 4 week delivery. I got Amazon to call me, then said they scammed me and demanded to talk to their supervisor.

5 mintues later, upgraded to priority shipping free of charge. Ordered Monday Night, Wednesday morning I got my movies.

Amazon.com is great and makes a LOT more sense than ordering from the .ca site. I'm still a really impatient person tho and have a hard time waiting for things. If the deal is good enough I'll go Amazon.com tho.

If you notice it should always be canada post labels on them when you get them. You have to use the standard shipping though.
actually mine arrive from Kentucky...or at least that's what it says on the label...never had to pay duties as of yet

Yep! definitely the way to go. Besides the usual lower msrp, strong dollar, no tax and no customs....

there's no French on the cover!!! (for those English speaking Canadians)

$56? I'm going to take a guess and say it's from an independent seller. The movie itself is out of print so it would makes sense why they are priced that high now that they are not being sold by Amazon.ca anymore.

I bought Aeon Flux from Future Shop in Canada since it wasn't available on amazon.com as new. Now is the time to get this movie... apparently it is a paramount movie and will be sold out soon I would guess. Get it while you can (if you care) Show those Paramount guys you want the blu-ray version ;-) I will order everything else from amazon.com.

Jeff
