only order through standard shipping. Expediated may result in custom charges...Why do you keep on posting this same question ?

I had amazon seemingly upgrade one of my orders to expedited. I was quite disappointed as I ended up with some duty.

EDIT - actually - they seem to have upgraded many of my orders to expedited. Wasn't taxed on all, and the one that I'm currently being taxed on may not actually be from amazon (I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but it's the only thing I can think of that would be arriving by Fedex) Anyone know if Amazon ships anything from Texas?

Cool

I always order with standard shipping. Takes 7-10 days to get to Saskatchewan and I've never been taxed, and yes the packages are always delivered to Canada Post.

They sometimes give you a free upgrade to expediated shipping when they are dealing with new releases. Say if you pre ordered Harry Potter movies, or LOST, they will ship on monday and they will sometimes ship it expediated. When they give you the free upgrade you won't be charged for any duties.

This happens to me about 70% of the time when dealing with pre orders. The only time i was ever charged was when i personally chose Expediated. I had to pay an extra $9 for customs
