FWIW, there's generally a Criterion Flash sale in February.

The discs still have value... could flip them on Ebay and make a few $$$ back.

This is one of the few Hitchcock's I've never seen, very excited about this release.

Very excited about more Hitchcock in the CC! I was thinking the February Criterion Flash sale as well, but you better get there early, as it's bound to go out of stock fast!

Same here. If a Hitchcock film is released, I must buy it. Keep them coming Criterion.

He actually offered it to Gary Cooper, who turned it down. Some years later he confided to Hitchcock that he should have done it. I'm happy to see this title finally coming after so much rumor.

id rather pay 27.99 than the SRP price of course if I could get it for 19.99 that would be better. Irregardless this is day one for me, I love this film too much to wait

Sounds like a new 2K scan of a film print with some digital clean up. My guess is Criterion did the transfer themselves on this one, and they don't have the budget for a 4K remaster.

Add yet another to the list for the next Criterion sale at Barnes & Noble. I'll buy any Hitchcock films Criterion puts out.

Have yet to seen this but loved 39 Steps, The Man Who Knew Too Much and The Lady Vanishes through Criterion. This will be a definite pick up for me. No Trauffant interview with Hitchcock though? Always enjoy listening to those.

Hitchcock on Criterion = must buy.

And I want that cover in 24/36 poster size. It is spectacular.

I've never seen this one so I'm REALLY excited. As much as I like Joel Mcrea, he's been in some solid noirs and westerns, for me if this had been a Stanwyck and Cooper outing I would have gone out of my way to watch it years ago.
