Thumbs up Best Horror Movies of 2013 on Blu-Ray

BEST HORROR MOVIES OF 2013:

So, here's how it works:

Post the [bd] of the two horror films you consider to be the best of the year!

One for a new film released in 2013, and one for a catalog title that made its debut on the format this year! Judge on the merits of the movie itself, not necessarily on the content.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
example:

New:

Catalog:

*films that have received their first domestic release, but aren't from 2013, are included in the new category.

Um they are actually very different genres bud.

A thriller is more psychological and suspenseful. Horror is more of the gore, being scary, blood, etc.

It's more horror than Stoker.

I echo Stoker. Easily one of the best movies I saw this year. A visual masterpiece.

As far as catalog titles, any of the work done by Arrow on Mario Bava films has been unreal.

For classic releases Id have to go with the two Demons releases from Synapse.....pure techincal excellence and the films have become favourites of mine. Overall though the year has been outstanding for classic releases with a bunch of titles that I never dreamed would be released in such good quality. Great work from Scorpion, Vinegar Sydrome, Arrow.

New films, I dont really go for much new horror but I did enjoy TCM 3D....liked how it started right after the original ended. Entertaining but to be honest its still nothing special.
