So far, I don't mind seeing these titles early. All of them were enjoyable watching, but I wouldn't call them best of the year.

Still have to see Act of Killing. Heard lot of good things about that one.

Also haven't seen the Kings of Summer, but I don't have the desire to see that yet.

The Act of Killing is outstanding, but it isn't exactly a crowd pleasing film you will want to revisit time and time again. It made the back end of my Top 25 because it was too well crafted to ignore, but I couldn't put it above films I actually "loved" that I want to add to my collection.

I was also pretty shocked to see Act of Killing make the cut. Blue Jasmine probably fell under the radar for some as it had a fairly quiet release, if I had seen it I would like to think it would of made my list.

More surprises to come soon.

The Wolverine!

Wish it was higher though. Best superhero film of 2013 by far!

Cannot believe Fast and Furious 6 ranks so low. Easily the best summer blockbuster for me.

Same, I think it was a case that when it appeared on people's lists, it was a high scorer, so it collected points in big spurts. When on the other hand you have The Wolverine, which was just steadily placed on a lot of lists.

Also the Upstream Colour and Spring Breaker people can rest easy now.

I'm surprised fast 6 is on there at all. Truly awful film after how great fast 5 was.

The Way Way Back. Nice. Glad enough people saw it for it to show up. SO much better than The Spectacular Now, which no doubt will show up later.

Exactly my thoughts. It was basically Transformers 2 on 4 wheels

Fast 6 would of been enjoyable, if the trailer wasn't the entirety of the film condensed into 3 minutes.

How are All is Lost and Upstream Color this far down? They're both in my top five. At least Upstream beat out Walter Mitty.

This list so far...

All Is Lost, Blue Is The Warmest Color, Blue Jasmine, Fruitvale Station, Pain And Gain, Side Effects, Spring Breakers, Stoker, and Upstream Color = Yes

They should not be so low on the list thus far, though. All of the garbage blockbusters should be (Fast Six, The Wolverine, World War Z, etc.).

Um no. Wolf of Wall street will correctly be one of the top 2 films.

Davis won't make top ten rightly so. Might not make top twenty or the list at all honestly.

As deserving as it is, it probably won't due to its limited release.

I'm also surprised that Fast & Furious 6 is not higher. It was one of the more enjoyable fun movie of the year for me. I guess many people don't view over the top action in reality setting to be quality movie

Missed opportunity for Wolverine and Walter Mitty for me. I did somewhat enjoy Walter Mitty (especially those great cinematography), but I expected so much better from the trailers that I saw. The movie fell way below my expectation.

And I hated the Wolverine. Not the attempted dramatic part. Those I actually liked. But damn, the action scenes were awful. this director doesn't know how to shoot action scenes. Just bunch of shaky cam that can't tell what's going on. I got dizzy at one point seeing it on 3D theater. If they had decent action director, this movie could have been good.

We are getting lot of highly rated movies that just didn't get enough viewing. I think All is Lost, Blue, Fruitvale, and Way Back could have been my top 25 if I just saw it. Still waiting for good deals on blu-ray for those.(I got Way Way Back, but didn't have chance to watch it yet)

You might wanna give the wolverine another shot by watching the extended version on the blu ray.
I was extremely disappointed in the theatrical release (gave it a C+ and ranked it the weakest x men film) but found myself loving the extended version ( probably improved to an A- rating and my third favorite x men film after x2 and first class).

The awfully done action scenes were just about completely fixed and improved upon greatly in extended version.
