I'm not an addict. I can stop anytime.

I just chose not to right now.

I have around 15 unopened BDs from the last few BOGOs sitting on my coffee table. I just finished watching Full Metal Jacket: Deluxe Edition. Man, that is an excellent film! I'd go so far as to say the best Vietnam War movie ever made.

Now, I'm firing up the Prestige. I read a biography of Nikola Tesla and even though the movie only touches upon him briefly, after the movie is over I intend to watch the special feature entitled, Tesla: The Man Who Invented the Twentieth Century. Tesla was a man out of time.

The previous few days I've watched Pearl Harbor, Eyes Wide Shut, Roving Mars, and the Pixar Shorts. Do I have a problem? If enjoying movies presented to me as good or better than my theatrical viewings means I have a problem then, yeah, I'm nuts! Blu-ray brings movies to life in a whole new way for me. It's incredible. Thank you, BDA!
I'll just say I saw a documentary on Tesla and it was really sad how he died.

Agreed. People I know that have no experience with Blu-ray think all the movies cost $30. This is not true at all. With all the BOGO sales going on, as well as sales on new releases, Finding Blu-rays for $25 and under is not uncommon.

Bought 7 this week. It's becoming an addiction. I guess no one gets anything for Christmas this year, with the exception of Blu Ray movies!

Default Thought I needed a support group...oh yeah: Blu-ray.com

OMG yes. thought I was alone. Bought 3 this week. If I find a deal, I buy a movie. Doesn't matter what it is. Case in point; found Dinosaur for $9.99, SWAT for $14.99, Polar Express for $24.99 just this week alone. I'm buying them so fast, for me anyway, that I can't keep my sig block updated.

I don't actually have a HUGE urge to buy blu-rays (just a small one). OTOH, I have noticed that I don't wanna buy anything on plain old DVDs anymore. I'm OK with getting TV shows on DVD, but not movies.

I Netflix constantly so I've seen some that I just don't care to buy but were fun watching anyway.

Still,.. I can see where my DVD collection came from now. Buying Blu Rays is even more fun then I had buying DVD's.

In the year I've had my PS3 I bought exactly 50 Blu Rays. Time to start selling everything that's not nailed down to stock up on more.

I have gotten very good at sniffin' out a good deal. Until their system went haywire, Warner Bros. was a great way to get discs for less than $15 and tax free. I also frequent the local used CD DVD shops in the Phoenix area and I have been able to pick up many titles at $9.99 to $14.99. And lets not forget all of the Fry's Electronics and Amazon Buy one, get one free deals.

Yes, it is a sickness.

I'm opening a Blu Addict Anonymous (BAA) soon. We can talk about our unopened blu disks. How to convince our spouses/partners, how good the blu is for them. How to trade-in. Anti-trolling 101. Movie analysis 101 (grain, banding, clarity, uncompressed audio, etc.)

Our first session will start by each and everyone saying..."My name is (place Log-in name here)...I'm a compulsive blu disk buyer."

We end with a hug and state..."May the BOGO be with you."
