Damnit, I've bought the 4K version and still own the original version for the special features. I just really wanted the second. Guess I'll buy the first one for the third time again...I'm glad we'll finally have the second on blu.

I agree. A nice, $15 standalone disc to go with whatever disc people already have of number 1. I don't want to pay extra for toys, nor do I want to own them.

Guys, I think they only pictured the gift set, but my understanding is there ARE standalone releases of both GB2 and the GB1 anniversary edition.

I for one want to buy both (assuming there's anything new on GB1), but dont care for the statue and such. I just want the movies.

as for rebuying movies, GB is one that I don't mind dipping on as many times as necessary, just like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. It's one of my all time favorite movies, and my #1 favorite comedy.

This. I'm hoping that the new disc features the 4K transfer with all the extras from the previous releases (no real reason why it shouldn't, since the MI4K release apparently didn't use up all the available space on the disc), so I can retire both Blu-Rays of the first movie...

Well, given that I bought Ghostbusters on release day 5 years ago, I may be interested in this. But I hope cinemaphile is right that there are standalone releases. I love elaborate box sets probably more than the next guy, but I don't find that Slimer all that appealing. Plus, I really only want the second movie. Although if there are good enough new features on the first movie, of course I'll end up picking it up.

I was hoping for all extras on a third disc but this looks like a 2 disc set. And I don't like it when they call the original Ghostbusters 1. I'll wait out the sequel.

I'm not normally one for digibooks, but that packaging is gorgeous. And ive always held off buying GB on blu ray due to the piss poor reviews. Will be nice to finally retire my DVD box set
