But thankfully they sent out a replacement pretty soon after I messaged them and I didn't have to send the damaged one back. Overall though I'm pretty happy with them.
I have been using Zavvi/Hut for about 8 years and luckily have never had a damaged item

I've ordered dozens of Steelbook's over the past year from Zavvi, all of them have taken between 2-4 weeks from "despatched" email to be delivered.

Latest Zavvi order took 5 weeks to arrive. Longer than usual.

Still waiting for my boxsets to arrive...hopefully they don't get damaged on the way over...

How is the packaging with Zavvi?

Packaging can be pretty weak from zavvi. I've had a few boxes where the corners of a box set have been damaged. The last one that got delivered the box was half destroyed. I opened that one with my heart in my mouth. Fortunately the box set inside was perfect.

Don't mean to be alarmist but packaging is not their strength. If it's a small package you'll be fine. If it's large it can be a worry. At least in my experience. That said...Most arrive just fine.

Just received three separate items from Zavvi - all in pretty good nick and within estimated delivery time frame.

Lethal Weapon box set I ordered was slightly pushed in at bottom corner but fine otherwise.

Although, I can see where concerns come from re: packaging - it's fairly minimal. As mentioned, steelbooks I received were in good condition but mind you, wouldn't want to them to get too thrown around in the back of a mail van.

Can't complain too much for $2 postage I suppose.

I can’t fault them on their specials and the shipping price (more often than the cheapest place to buy online from the UK) but the packaging and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I've been dealing with four customer service contacts over the past four weeks in regards to an active coupon that wasn't working at checkout and now it's more about seeing how long it’ll take to solve than actually having the issue resolved. It’s a spiraling comedy of emails that show up in my inbox every four days for old fashioned entertainment.

These orders are my first from Zavvi so I'm yet to encounter this aspect but I'm hoping I don't have to based on your current issues.
Good luck with it.

Thanks Mate. Even though the customer service is the pits I continue to order as those prices are impossible to beat particularly on the genre stuff from Arrow or 88 Films.

What is Zavvi's policy like on damaged items in the mail?
I have only really ordered steelbooks from zavvi in the past and touch wood have been lucky that all of them have arrived okay so far.
Over Christmas I made 2 orders not steelbooks, with their sales.
I ordered Clint Eastwood collection and Steven Seagal collection around boxing day, then a week later ordered a whole lot of individual movies and mad max boxset etc.
The funny thing is most of the individual movies have already come and they came a week later, the seagal boxset came also then. However the Clint Eastwood collection still hasn't come...
Also the ones that have come, at least 2 or 3 of them have some damage on the packaging, eg. mad max boxset the cardboard slip over the movie cases is squashed in etc. which is disappointing, but can understand how when the packaging is rubbish.
Do Zavvi give discount like amazon for damage etc?

usually 10% refund or you pay postage back to UK for replacement.

they have an online form in your order history for complaints. And they do ask for pictures.

Yeah I got my boxset and there are some minor scuffs. They only posted it out in a regular mail folder...no extra bubble wrap or anything. So naturally the edges of the box aren't perfect.

Which boxset? the Clint Eastwood one?
I am still waiting for mine, been a long time, they told me to wait at least 60 days. I have received so many other orders in the meantime from Zavvi too within a week of shipping, this one must have done a round world trip.
Be interested to see photos of your boxset if you have

Zavvi cost me $2 AUD, and always deliver within 7-10.

Packaging isn't amazing, but I've never had bad damage, and it's worth it for price and speed

I wish they'd offer a better packaging option for box sets, like $2 or $3 more than would be fine I think.
