The price of the individual seasons has been too high with the short running times. I hope they finally get around to pricing this in line with other TV series.

Yes. They were short stories written for magazines though, not books.

i'd buy it if this happened. those busts = blech, but 1080p=4k upscale, which 1080i won't on my player.

Hm. Do we think they'll be including the prequel to The Empty Hease, which was left off the S3 BD?

Argh. Doesn't look like this is going to be worth it to me. The busts are cool but I'd need to see how they look in the real world and the art cards are literally identical to the ones in the Doctor Who set. They sure love that style of art card over at BBC.

But most of those new special features are on Netflix. While it would be nice to own them, I can't justify the exorbitant costs to do so. Sigh.

The BBC aren't likely to put it in 1080p, as it's native frame rate is 25 fps, to put it on at 1080p they'd have to slow it down.

I think they can pull some jiggery pokery with 1080i, and keep it at the same speed...

That set looks/sounds awesome. It would match my Doctor Who L.E. release well. If I end up getting it this seems like a good way. I might even end up liking those busts if the make quality is good enough -- they look pretty nice.

Yeah, I own Season One and liked it, but not enough to pay $30 for three episodes for the next two seasons. Kind of crazy.

I just looked at it as $10 a movie.

I won't be buying a big set until this series is over.

I don't consider them movie quality, to be blunt. Great writing and performances for sure, but they're TV shows all the way.

Disagree. Much better than most anything released today with the exception of the middle episodes in season 1 and 2.

Too bad this set includes the busts.... I've been waiting for a good price point on these, I believe a set could have given us that if they didn't have those included...

Well, the least they can do is upgrade the audio to lossless for the first two seasons.

I didn't say it was bad, I said it's obviously a TV show with a TV show budget and mentality. It should have TV show pricing.

Only worth buying if all episodes are 1080p + DTS-HD MA 5.1.

No need for 1080i and DD 5.1.

You're not getting the first; there's room to hope on the second.
