Manufacturing on a mass scale (PS3, etc) brings prices down. I believe that's what they are doing now.

yes, but i don't see it having a future beyond the ps3 and scientific research. i don't think it'll be the amazing chip that'll go into anything like they were hoping

maybe not maybe justa thought but there letter ps3 developer learn the cell and how to program for it then once they familer expand it (and there alredy be a base of developers aledy familer) also ibm is using the cell as an "accelerator" or there rode runner severs(fastest in world)

and as in r&d or as in manufacture cost? for production cost its cheap estimated that sony pays 75$ for each when when ps3 fist went on sale cell 2 will probly just be a slight revision of cell much like the pentium 4 line up just slight tweeks
