They really need to do a Cilician Pirates installment of Assassin's Creed. (The Cilician Pirates are a naval coalition power in 2nd-1st century B.C., based mostly in the eastern Mediterranean, filling the power vacuum after Rome and Carthage exhausted themselves in the Punic Wars.) That way you get to keep doing ships and naval combat, you get to go back to Rome (but in Imperial Roman times, not Roman ruins), you'd get to track the entire Iron Age Mediterranean region, from Turkey and Syria all the way to Spain, and everything in-between (Classic Greece, Malta, Crete, Alexandria, etc.), and the historic tie-ins could be huge: Hannibal, the assassination of Julius Caesar, Spartacus and the slave-revolt, and so on.
I think this is the perfect balance of getting back to basics, keeping the popular ideas they have had along the way, and also doing something fresh. |

Honestly I thought Unity was decent, not as bad as some make it out to be and I had barely any glitches. However, I love Rogue. It is almost identical to Black Flag with a different setting, however it is much better than I expected it to be. I stopped playing Unity for a while when I got Rogue.

Same here, forgot Unity was Target and BF was Amazon along with Knack and BF4. BF still has to be my favorite AC game but if Victory turns out good this could become my favorite one. I love the setting.

Chance that the release of this game will be a total disaster like Unity? Probably bordering on NoneWhatSoEver! I mean, seriously, no way can Ubisoft screw up the release of this title! And the setting of Victorian england is a great one to boot. Looking forward to this. Hopefully this time around the PS4 is lead platform!

![]() ![]() Displayed in the image is a set of brass knuckles, Inscribed on the melee weapon is the phrase "Strength Through Loyalty." There is also a message that reads "God Save The Queen," which lines up with the game's rumored British setting. "We Forge The Chains We Wear In Life." This quote is from English author Charles Dickens' "The Cricket on the Hearth," which was originally published in the 1840s. a reference to "Rooks," which may be related to the bird of the same name commonly found in northern Europe. You can also see an image of a bird. |

The new Assassin's Creed game set to be revealed next week is entitled Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and stars an assassin named Jacob Frye, according to promotional material leaked to Polygon.
The information obtained by Polygon reinforces this, as it states Syndicate will "transport millions of gamers to an astonishing recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution where they will find themselves immersed in a game world they'll have to see to believe." http://www.gamespot.com/articles/ass.../1100-6427212/ |

This setting moves the AC franchise the closest it has been to modern times since the very first game. I prefer the original title of 'Victory' rather than Syndicate, but whatever. Hopefully the recreation of victorian London is stunning, At least that could be said of Paris in Unity.

Defintely interesting to have a setting in the early 19th Century. I had fun with Unity for awhile but ultimately these games are too big & cram too much stuff to collect which I am a sucker for so I will probably try the game & doubtfully finish it. |
