If HD DUD were to win, I would buy a VERY nice dual format player with all of the capabilities maxed out in both formats. I am not about to deprive myself of movies in HD content. Lets face it... HD DVD may only be a half step above DVD but that is better than going back to DVD altogether. If Blu won, perfect! Im already invested into it so there is no loss there.

If it were a stalemate, meh... lets not go there. I would probably say something I regret...

If anyone refuses to buy the other format, because their format lost, they are going too far.

No one should have any hate or love toward any of the corporations involved, because they don't even know our names...and more importantly, they don't care (nor should they).

That's part of the reason why HD DVD fanboys seem to get more emotional. Many have this futile belief that Sony is bad and Toshiba is good. That being said, I believe when (key word) BR becomes the undisputed winner, HD DVD fanatics will have a harder time making the switch...as they tend to be more emotional about the matter.

This is probably part of my bias, but BR supporters seem to just want to enjoy their format. Whereas, HD DVD supporters turn into "underdog" fanboys that feel the urge to "prove" something.

These misguided HD DVD fanboys are like sheep. When Toshiba throws in the towel they'll happily convert over to the superior format and will probably post on here like nothing happened. Remember how Dreamcast fans acted when the PS2 crushed it? They accepted it and became PS2 fanboys.

Default After the War.

Well, I will finally be able to sit back and enjoy the movie. The focus can shift to content, where it belongs.

We can also redirect our efforts to inform the public, retailers, and industry on getting video gear hooked up proberly using HDMI. Studies show the average person does not know what to do with their HDTV when they bring it home. My freinds poor setups attest to this. The industry needs to ship DVD players, blu ray, and the PS3 with the correct video cabeling. The buyer has been in the dark on this for way too long.

Regardless of who wins this war, Blu and HD-DVD will have a cult following. I still own a laser disc player, I still own a mini-disc player and continue to buy titles for them as I find them. I have friends who have Dat players, and others that have DIVX players (circuit city Divx). They continue to use them and will spend money to keep them going. If Blu is to win (which seems to be more likely every day), I will most likely buy either a HD-DVD player or a Combo player so I can buy HD-DVD titles when they become common on discount sites and Ebay for cheap.

If any of the three scenario above should come to pass.
How would life be like, for all party, in all scenario.
1. I would spend a lot of money, building a small theater in my future courtyard and inviting friends over to listen to a great experience. However, it will probably by my last investment in a material software (I can see in the mid-near future that CD, DVD, Hd-dvd (sooner than everything else ), blu-ray, even journal etc. will disappear because of environnemental pressure). But I expect to spend a lot of money in blu-ray media.

2. That would also be great cause everyone would sale their blu-ray over the internet for a cheap price and I would buy them. Then I'll built a big collection of blu-ray for pennies and listen to lossless audio and probably buy a hd-dvd player for the newer releases.

3. Humm the opposite as what 95pgtproject as suggest:
Waiting for the Nielsen numbers
Laughting at hd-dud fanboys
Be united as a team (a great feeling to be part of a community)
Sharing a passion

You can see in my post that I'm a positive guy lol!
