As beautiful as Patricia Arquette is, she was creepy as hell here.

I remember thinking this movie was just okay. Not worth owning for me personally. Cool to see them get it though, and happy for fans.

I have the dvd, but, I will only upgrade this one (at least for now) if it comes with brazilian portuguese subtitles and if the transfer/video quality is good.

I would think Scream Factory would have to try pretty hard not to make this a worthwhile upgrade. I recently did some comparisons of the old DVD and Greek Blu Ray and neither looks good by today's standards. This should hopefully be an easy upgrade and one that truly benefits from a domestic blu ray release. I'll be upgrading this as well.

I don't know about the transfer but it sure as hell won't include portuguese subtitles. All of SF's releases only include english subtitles and that's about it.

This is a cool film. I'm glad to see Scream releasing more modern titles. I feel like the 2000's and late 90's were a very underrated period for horror films, and more than a few classics have slipped under many fan's radars, Stigmata included. I will buy this in order to support this trend.

Yawn...

Now they're really scraping the bottom of the MGM barrel.

I have huge amounts of warmth for Stigmata.

It looks a bit campy nowadays but it's one of my most watched "horror" films, along with Dog Soldiers and The Shining.

You might want to check out The Battery, Rick -- it's not for everybody, but if you like your zombie movies to be more character-oriented and meditative, you might like it.

I don't think Stigmata is anywhere near a great film, but having seen it theatrically, I can say that it's one of the most visually striking films I've ever seen. Provided MGM can supply a decent master, I'd say the benefits to the cinematography alone should make it a worthwhile purchase.

Thank you for the info! I added it to my Netflix queue, of course once I changed it to BD, it went to "unknown".
Perhaps I'll just blind buy.
