Titles released on BluRay OVERSEA'S FIRST

Being the absolute huge movie buff that I am, (that WE ALL are) I'm anxious to own my favorite movies on BLU RAY! Even when I have to take steps to collect movies on BluRay from overseas markets...with the titles not yet released in the US. I purchased a REGION-FREE bluray player just so I can watch and re-enjoy these titles. I've noticed many movies getting a bluray release just ahead of the USA, while others are still not available here at all. (Yet...!) I guess I'm too impatient to wait around for US studios to release movies, so I go ahead and obtain from overseas...via Amazon.com. Here is just an example of movies in MY collection from other regions...!

Does anybody know WHY movies are released overseas FIRST (sometimes)???
