One of the most misleading covers of all time. No underwater monster with a "laser zapper". No Tyrannosaurs with 3 fingers going underwater, no underwater probes with divers or sub with clear windows on the bow...

I don't think there are any monster suits, just lots of puppets.

Puppets and props but I think some creatures were in suits like the Allosaurus and the creatures in At the Earths Core. Some of those props in Land are especially funny but not as bad as Unknown Island for those who havent seen that early technicolor schlockfest

Yeah, there are definitely some suit monsters in ATEC. My memory of the allosaurs in Land that Time Forgot was of puppets but I haven't seen it in probably 10 years!

Unknown Island has some astoundingly bad looking dino suits. Land Unknown has another funny one, but definitely less bad!

Amazon usually adds stuff at MSRP and then lowers the price later, no reason for concern. Surprised you're not used to it by now.

Yes I've seen prices be higher at the start but not that high
This should be at max be $18.99 before price drops
Then later wait for a price drop
I won't even consider getting this until it's dropped in price to around $13.99

I've bought a lot of them on Amazon and Kino titles always seem to ship at around $18. If you want it for $13 you'll have to wait for a sale, like the current sale on Flesh and Blood, which came out a good while ago. If $18 is acceptable I would go ahead and pre-order. 90% chance it will drop to that at some point, and you can just cancel if it doesn't.

I watched my Kino Lorber Blu-ray of The Land That Time Forgot yesterday evening, and I loved it.

The Land That Time Forgot is an awesome movie across the board, and, in many ways, I enjoyed it even more than At the Earth's Core. The submarine takeover storyline during the first half hour is plenty engaging on its own, but the film segues quite nicely into a different vibe altogether once they encounter the unfamiliar continent. The special effects are crude, but still more fun than current CGI creations, and there's some good tension during a couple of sequences where the characters are being stalked by cavemen.

I had so much fun that I even watched the commentary track with undivided attention right after the credits rolled from my initial viewing. The short making-of featurette is pretty decent as well.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Blu-ray transfer. It's all impressive.

Diabolik DVD had it up for sale last week. Someone posted about it in either the Kino thread or the Scorpion Releasing thread. I cannot remember which.

Okay cool, I will have to bookmark that site for the future. Glad you enjoyed it so much, can't wait to get my disc. At the Earth's Core was a big surprise joy for me earlier in the year.
