Buy them. The UK sale of good act protects you. If you buy a BD Transformers, and the contents don't match the cover, then you are entitled for a full refund. No quibbles at all... Full refund.

If the case is empty on the shelf, it just means that they have the disc stored behind the counter.

Who knows... maybe Para$hite actually pressed the discs and a few have slipped out .

Probably the latest Microshibamount tactic to confuse the consumer into buying HD DVD. Start producing HD DVD titles in blu cases.

Looking at the case art, it looks like the new version of the movie. Deserves investigation. I wouldn't tell the staff in store. If the discs have been accidentally released you could make a bob or two on eBay. If you inform them that they have been withdrawn (and they are what they appear to be) then they may be returned to Para$hite.

Or maybe the staff will buy them with their staff discount and make a bob or two on eBay.

I agree someone needs to buy one. if the disc itself says BD not HDDUD then it is likely that these were pressed as part of the origional run and slipped out...

Gotta admit that looks sweeet. Transformers does look way better in the blu case than it does in the red hd dud case(that movie was made for a BD case).

It does look like the real to bad is not.

If this was a BD, then maybe someone at Para$hite is slipping out a few BDs accidentally on purpose. I'm sure there are some in Para$hite who are pro BD, and are thoroughly sickened by what has happened. Accidents do happen .

I will look in my nearest Woolworths tomorrow.

im going up there today on my lunch...im 100% sure they wont have it on blu...but will keep you all posted to my findings and arguments with the manager

officially in UK, it's HD DVD exclusive. but some shop took out the disc from the case and put it back when somebody purchase it. maybe to avoid it getting stolen.

I think this a mistake all acroos the Woolworth chain.. This has been seen in Addlestone and Hounslow and they all say that it's available but it's not in stock. When they asked me if I wanted them to order one I said of course.. but they couldn't find the order number for it!!! TYPICAL!!!

well hear are my findings:

woolworths are idiots

I went there on my lunch and the transformers blu-ray box was still sitting there, took it up too counter and they couldnt find it only the hd-dud version. So they said they could order it for me i said ok please do and then they couldnt find it on the system.

So i then went into the discussion about how this shouldnt be in a blu-ray box as paramount are hd-dvd exclusive and you should take it off the shelf before you get more angry customers! I was going to go into a big hissy fit but didnt see the point really!

But they are my findings and they have now taken it off the shelves. Im considering re porting them to trading standards but dont know if its even worth it?

Report them to the BDA and maybe you'll get a free blu-ray disc, a badge or a pin that says "I snitch for Blu" LOL
