I got it used from Hastings a while back. Yeah, for some reason they started printing that cover art. I definitely prefer the original cover art, which looks like this...

I'm just glad that I got the movie. It's SO good! Definitely worth getting if you can find a copy. I would love to see it get released on Blu-ray. I would definitely buy it as an upgrade.

It's actually weird that it isn't on BD. I mean, you've got a movie with Jennifer Lawrence AND Chloë Grace Moretz?! I mean, come on!

Yeah, I've saw that before. They don't have anymore copied left at Hastings now. And copies on eBay for for about $20 bucks or so new or used.

Yeah, I've seen it a few times. It's a pretty dark and depressing movie. But also has its tidbits of humor in it too aswell.

Hmm, just checked at Amazon, and it says it's Region A/B/C.

That's the good news.

The bad news, however, is that it's $32.69

Yeah, as AaronJ said, they actually have the German Blu-ray release of The Poker House on Amazon and it says it is regions A/B/C.
I hate importing. I only import if it something I REALLY want and/or can't find. I'm fine with my DVD for now.

Well, on the German Amazon site, it's 12.98 Euros, which works out to about $15 USD. But who knows how much shipping would be.

Oh well. Just have to wait for some American company to decide that J-Law and Chloë are big enough stars to warrant a release here.

Lori Petty directed it. It's loosely based on her life. CGM is in it a bit. But Jen is the main character. It's a film you see out of the 70's or 80's.

I have a few of her movies through DVD/Blu-Ray, or Digital...Funny i used to own The Eye but did not know she was in it. I barely watched it though.

Yeah, she didn't have a big role in The Eye. She played a little girl named Alicia. She was a patient in the hospital that Jessica Alba's character met.

First movie I ever noticed her in was Hugo and I was surprised when I found out she wasn't a Brit. Technically I'd seen her a few years earlier in (500) Days of Summer, but her role was so small in that, I honestly didn't remember her.

I don't think I've disliked any of her performances, although she did seem a little young and out of place in Carrie. Here's hoping she knocks The Fifth Wave out of the park next January. I really liked the book(the sequel, not so much).

Hugo is fantastic!

I actually bought Hugo twice.

I bought the 2D version back when it came out. Then I eventually got a 3DTV and I bought the 3D version.

Definitely one of the best looking 3D Blu-rays I own.
