DVDCompare.net doesn't even have a Blu-ray listing for this but since it's the same release across the board in those countries, different coverart and maybe disc label, not even the AUS release mentions on the back cover if there's a trailer or not.
Maybe the USA release will have tons of extra features? I honestly doubt it and it's why I'm importing it from Japan anyway. Love the cover and also the PQ/AQ. Used to rent this on VHS when I was younger and even had the DVD. American Gangster is a great re-team of Crowe and Washington.

Almost bought this on DVD a while back thinking it might never come. Glad I waited. Day one buy.

Everyone is talking about ordering various imports (Japan, Germany) just assuming this disc will be identical. However Paramount released SABRINA overseas and then through the Warner deal here much later, and it was a newer transfer. The same seems likely to happen with VANILLA SKY, which will definitely have more extras here at least. I think there are some other Paramount diss where the US got the better version. I wouldn't be shocked to see that happen here too.

What is with Paramount releasing titles in the US with sub-par cover art. Thankfully, I already picked this title up years ago from overseas.

And now I'm gonna wait for Warner to announce, or rather, not announce either Virtuosity or both titles are delayed. Seriously, I'm not going to believe Warner is actually releasing any New Line or Paramount product until they are in a physical store on the shelf.

And if that is the case, I'll gladly double dip on Virtuosity.

Personally, I don't buy blu-rays for their cover artwork! I buy them for the movies. If I want something beautiful and attractive to look at, I'll buy a picture or a mural to hang on the wall.

I'm not a packaging guy at all but I do like good cover art. It's like a movie poster, it's just nice to have a cool image associated with pulling the movie off the shelf.

Not a huge deal though, certainly.

Is that one of the pre-programmed responses they fitted your model version with?

Dang, didn't even know there were imports.
me neither ... I always feel like I'm late to the party.

to anyone who has the Japanese import - how does it sound?

I remember both the theatrical and laserdisc sound - sounded fantastic and mixed very loudly.

Several other Paramount titles which have been released overseas, that I can remember off hand, are:

Kiss the Girls
Along Came a Spider
The Core
