Can't wait. But, something has angered me. It appears that those idiots, One Million Moms, are protesting ABC and Disney. Apparently, they're mad at ABC and Disney because 'no topic will be considered off-limits'.

http://icv2.com/articles/news/view/3...targets-kermit

I watched the trailer for the new series. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but ABC is advertising this TV series as an 'adult show'. Nowhere did they say that this was a show for children. Additionally, whatever happened to 'changing the channel'. It's a simple concept. They even have these devices called "REMOTE CONTROLS".

What really tickled my funny bone, and from what I've read on the new series, One Million Moms are complaining that topics such as promiscuity and abortion will be addressed or 'weighed" in on within the new series. Nowhere did I see that any of these topics would be explored. It's like OMM are making this crap up in order to scare everyone.

The Muppets simply is not Sesame Street.

Not only that, but they seem to be popping up everywhere now. From Sesame Street, to complaining about national advertisements and now they have set their sights on The Muppets. LOLS

I posted a link but it was just reported on icV2.

There's already controversy surrounding this show with One Million Moms calling for a boycott and to have ABC cancel The Muppets due to "inappropriate themes including mature content such as sex and drugs." They claim it's not a family oriented TV series that shouldn't be viewed by young children.

I actually found it funny that One Million Moms were complaining over a muppet show that has already been advertised as an "adult show". One would think these organizations would find something better to do, like go out and get a life.

There was nothing "offensive" in the premiere. It's the Muppets. Any adult jokes will go right over kids' heads. Those moms need to get a life and actually control what their kids watch and not what other people watch.

You should see the comments over at Slashfilm, their users are slamming 'Muppets' really hard.

I don't know, 1MM are a tough crowd to deal with. They petitioned AMC to change the rating from "TV14" to "TVMA" for The Walking Dead. If they continue to try and have The Muppets pulled I'm sure ABC will comply with them.

I'm a fan of these Muppet characters and there were some funny skits and jokes in it. Funniest one I remember is when the scientist is shocking with electricity his friend, and Kermit says, "Is that safe?" and he says something like, "Of course it is, I'm wearing gloves" as his friend falls over backwards.

This isn't too far off from the humor of some of the newer movies.

Muppets debuted to over eight million viewers and is ABC's most successful premiere since How to Get Away With Murder, so it's not going anywhere.

No one cares what those 'million' moms have to say. And if they actually knew anything about the Muppets, they would know the humor in the new show is completely in line with the old Muppets. There are a lot worse shows on TV, these moms should move on to one of those. (Or focus on actual, real world issues and not be concerned with TV shows... especially ones starring puppets).

But they better stay away from my Walking Dead.
