That's the way it should be.

When you're worried and you can't sleep
just count your Blu-rays instead of sheep
and you'll fall asleep counting your Blu-rays.

Hope that helps!

I agree with your counting methods. That's how I count my discs (regardless of format).

Currently I am at 10 Blu-Ray discs, with 3 more on order between now and Christmas, and also with 6 more on the way for Christmas and my Birthday shortly there after.

I currently have 8 HD-DVDs, with 3 more on the way for Christmas, plus the 5 mail aways from buying my player, which I might get at some point in time between now and when my grandkids graduate from college.

And I have well over 800 DVDs.

I do admit, though, that there are a few discs that are gray areas for me, and I'm not sure how to count them. For example, when the Jurrassic Park Trilogy originally came out on DVD, it was a 4-disc set, with three discs for the movies, and then an exclusive disc for bonus features. Now, normally with that boxed set, I wouldn't count the bonus feature disc. However, I didn't actually buy the set. I bought the three movies individually, and then got the extra disc used later on. On the one hand, I guess I still shouldn't count it since it's kind of like I have the set minus the box, but then again, I went and purchased that disc on it's own separately, so it kind of feels weird not to count it.

Another oddity was the exclusive extra bonus disc that came with the single disc DVD version of Transformers at Wal-Mart. I actually bought the movie for myself on HD-DVD. But, my step dad just wanted the single disc DVD movie, but I wanted the bonus disc, so I paid the $5 difference to get the one with the extra disc (the disc is in it's own separate DVD case). So, it also feels weird not counting it, even though I technically shouldn't.

I have a few other oddities like that, but they are just a few exceptions.

For the most part though, my counting is pretty straight forward.
