I'm like the poster above me. It all depends on my mood.

I am sure that when it comes to releases, you have plenty of them.

And sometimes (if not all the time) it's a hassle to which one its gonna come down to. Sometimes I can't decide for one even though thats the one I planned on watching. First world problems.

P.S My collection is not alphabetized so its chaos

depends on the length of the film; if it's 2 hours it takes around 2 hours.
the 90 minute ones don't take as long.

Mine also used to be chaos, but then I tricked my kids into an alphabetizing "game", so now it's much easier to find a specific movie.

Same day. If I don't have time to do that, then as soon as I have time. Unless it's something I just watched and decided I liked so much I wanted to buy. In that case I'll wait until the mood strike me. But my collection is small compared to a lot of people, and I like to watch movies over and over again.

Out of my 146 blu-rays, I have never seen 18 of the movies/TV shows.

But I haven't watched 83 of the blu-rays.

That actually kind of alarmed me.....oh well, must keep buying!

I only realised that feature a short while a go and found it too long to go through each individual blu-ray; the spreadsheet is quicker as I either put a Y or N beside each film.

If its a new release & im really interested in it ill watch it right away. But since I sometimes stock up on cheap movies also, I have movies I bought 1-2 years ago or maybe a bit longer that I still haven't gotten around to watching.

Well I try to watch them new, but I also have a ton of older ones I have to watch PLUS since I finally bought a high def tv I also have to re-watch blus again.

So: New-Unwatched Older-Watched Older. And sometimes random.

Depends on the film and how many I have bought at once - I try and watch my movies ASAP so usually within the week I get them, sometimes the same day they arrive.

That said I still have some films I bought years ago I haven't gotten around to watching yet but they are on the list to watch (I actually have a list of unwatched movies)

Wait a minute...you have well over 600 Blu-rays in your collection, and you're saying you JUST bought a high def TV???

May take weeks these days. I don't buy as many titles as I used to and I always have something of a backlog and I want to clear that up before moving on to that latest acquisition.

I don't think you are necessarily lazy - I started collecting blu rays a couple of years before I got an HDTV because I knew that blu ray titles sometimes go out of print, and since I knew I would be getting one eventually anyway, I wanted to have a nice library ready when I finally did.

As for me, there are movies I have that I still haven't gotten around to viewing yet....it depends on what mood I am to watch something. Certain titles are watched the moment they come through the door....

It really depends. I have movies in my collection I bought months ago but haven't watched yet, like Munich, but then I also have ones I bought this week but watched immediately, like Charade. It's all about what I'm in the mood for when I scan my shelves.

I usually try to buy titles as cheap as possible or if they're in danger of going OOP. Watching them has to be organic for me. So, I still have BD's from years ago, DVD's from 15 years ago, Laserdiscs from the 1990's and VHS recordings from decades ago that still go unwatched for a variety of reasons. I've been binge watching a lot of television lately. I try to watch 1 film a day but that doesn't always happen. I'm pretty sure I'll die with a huge pile of unseen material.

Also have a ton of books to read. Oh, well.

Anywhere between a couple hours and a few years.

I usually watch new release blind buys that week. I got countless blind buys that I've had for years that I've never watched.

Alexander, the final cut, has been sitting on my shelf for 6 years unwatched.
