Street Fighter Quartermatch was delayed on Live months beyond the original date so they could get the timing right. Since they had to build a new engine for PS3, undoubtedly that's a contributing factor.

Actually.. Street Fighter 2 HD is built on the Saturn port of SSF2T. It already had net code and the timing was near perfect.

Street Fighter 3 was my favorite of the series, although I played it only once. The graphics and/or art style along with the music are outstanding and unique. 2-D graphics are actually very pleasing, but everyone's moving to 3-D now. Also, the gameplay wasn't the familiar Street Fighter 2's -- fireball, wait for them to jump, and then uppercut.

I really, REALLY wanted Street Fighter 3 for the PS3 through backwards compatibility, but I couldn't finid one brand new from a reputable seller, online or brick-and-morter. Sigh...

Street Fighter 3, the Ratchet series (because of my enjoyment of the PS3 version), and Metal Slug Anthology are the the only PS2 games that I'd like to give a try. But I hear that there are motion problems with the Ratchet backward compatibility on the PS3. As for Street Fighter 3, it can't be found new. For Metal Slug, I'm not willing to buy it at the full price.

Well, the shots above are supposedly in-game play shots, so I can imagine some video footage should be not too far away.

It's kind of nice when they're not trying to make it all realistic. For some reason, the cartoonish look is pleasing.

Kens face looks all wrong. Also, this is not the first time they've done 3-D graphics with 2-D fighting, no one remembers Street Fighter EX? I hope its a lot better then that, even tho i did enjoy SFEX a lot, it didnt hold a candle to the likes of SF2:CE and SF3.

I thought this game was going to be 2d with redone hi-res graphics. I didn't know it was going to be 3d or is this a different game?

The faces do look weird in 3-D. The 2-D versions are the best but will see how this game actually turns out.

Remember how old school games used to always have a clock or timer to make sure that you beat a game within two minutes or something per level. Not just in fighting games, but in all games during the NES or even the SNES, Sega Genesis days.
