Edit: I read this entirely wrong and posted DVDs that ARE on BD but I haven't upgraded. Oops.

Uh... a lot. Solaris, Panic Room, Witness, and god knows how many in boxes spread around. Also as someone else said, classic Doctor Who alone is 100+ discs. Thinking of selling those though, just because I fell out of love.

There are only 33 movies I own on DVD that are yet to make their way to Blu-ray.

I've still got 1000+ DVDs and there's plenty I have no intention to upgrade so I couldn't give anything like an accurate count, but some that jump out because I've been collecting the director's work:

Panic Room
Who's That Knocking at My Door
Boxcar Bertha
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
After Hours
Bringing Out the Dead
The Ladykillers (Coen brothers, as I'm a terrible completist)
To Each His Own Cinema
M. Butterfly
Crash (Cronenberg)
Spider
Hard 8
Punch Drunk Love
Kill Bill (Japanese version with the full colour house of blue leaves fight)

Oh, I wasn't even counting TV - there's hundreds of those! Just Classic Doctor Who alone must come in at over 100 DVDs, never mind the rest...

Quite a few, percentage wise, I'd say close to 3/4 of my small (75?) DVD collection were music dvd's and documentaries.

That's a good one. I'm consistently surprised by how many quality films still aren't released.

What? You don't plan on buying Troop Beverly Hills on Blu-ray?

Most of the DVDs I have are not available on Blu-ray, as are most of the Laserdiscs I have...I try and upgrade and then give away the old stuff. Why this is of interest to most people would have me baffled unless you want to buy my old shit.

I still have 1125 titles on DVD, none of which are available on Blu-ray in my country (98% are not available at all). 269 of these are television releases. Whenever anything I own on DVD gets released on BR, I upgrade it or add it to my wishlist to upgrade and get rid of the DVD.

Still, I know that a number of these will, for certain, never see a BR release. In fact, I still buy some new releases on DVD for that very reason (tiny indie movies, small religious movies, special interest, etc). I also buy ones that I strongly doubt will ever be on BR (MST3K, RiffTrax, etc).

Actually the trailer doesn't look that terrible, but I'm surmising that the reviews were the wittiest aspect of the whole affair...

"Troop Beverly Hills is a fizzled farce...lightweight and inconsequential to boot. Clearly, it's about as comically crunchy as a box of smashed girl scout cookies" (Frank Ochieng, Movie Eye.) "It's a treat (and necessity) not only for youngish gay boys, but for anyone who enjoys campy good fun with the added bonus of watching dominant cultural values self-destruct." (Todd R. Ramlow, PopMatters).

As do I, but it's Canada-only. He did say "I don't want to import".

It's cheap, though (at least over here; $5 at HMV), so I'm not sure why. Maybe he doesn't like French writing on the packaging.
