I have a 60 gig. Have you guys seen the PS2 emulation on high end PCs? They have gotten some INSANE results, let me show you a few pictures. They are using Dual Core CPUs and high end video cards to get these results, technically the PS3 is way more powerful then that, so sony COULD make a PS2 emulator for the 40 gig if they wanted to.

There are the pics.. Here are a couple of Preview shots...

If a bunch of Hobbyists can do THAT, imagine what sony could do if it wanted to!

20GB for these reasons:
1) acceptable price and backward compatibility
2) all black without the chrome trim looks nice
3) all black without the chrome trim blends into the darkness when the room lights are turned off

The all black color without the chrome trim is actually a benefit because, when you turn off the lights to watch a movie or play a game, the PS3 disappears into the night. In contrast, if you have the Chrome Trimmed or white version like the xbox360, you'll probably still see the console due to the television light reflecting off of the chrome or the white color.

(I actually put a bit of black car window tint over the PS3's power led to soften the light. I used car tint tape so that I can still see the power led without the eyestrain).

20 gb. bought it off my boss who got a 60 gb a couple weeks after launch. its been replaced once, planning on putting a bigger hard drive in after christmas now that most games are making you use 2 to 3 gb to install the game to lower loadtimes.
