Superman the movie is quite old, the original master was porbably in 480i. The movie was also filmed with analog equipment back in the early 80's. I highly doubt the Blu-ray or the HD-DVD version is gona look much better than the DVD version Upsampled to HD.

However by the time I get to buying Super Man The movie, the price for the Blu-Ray version will be around $20 to $15.

I plan on getting new release movies on Blu-ray as they were filmed using today's technology. Imagine movies in the future wil be fillmed at even higher resolutions, with better equipment. Blu-ray is just gona keep getting better and better.

PS3 20GB now has HDMI. For $500 you get Movies, and HD games. But i am stoaked about movies more than games on PS3. Wii will definatelly have better games than PS3 IMO

And in 35mm Anamorphic Panavision to boot which is a 50% larger negative than the T2 Super35 negtive common today.

If Superman Returns is Warner's first BD-50 on Nov. 28, does anyone think Batman Begins will be earlier on BD-25 or, that we won't see it until December at the earliest, on BD-50?

Not to mention 35mm film has about 6000 lines of resolution. We are currently only at 1080 lines.

I think it will be in Warner's December wave on BD-50. We know from Superman that Warner is going to be using BD-50, so I assume they'll be giving Batman soon.
