Yep having seen it in 3d in cinemas that is how I feel the movie plays best. Hence it is the product I want, 2d would suffice but not way would I get it anywhere near full price when they can easily (an almost certainly will) release the product I do want.

Besides aside from the very best of the best of native 3d (Hugo, Avatar, Life of Pi, The Young and Prodigious T.P.Spivett etc), post conversion is currently far more reliable for quality results (Jupiter Ascending, Mad Max Fury Road). The problem is it is far to often rushed, for example even huge films like Jurassic World have a plethora of conversion errors whereas Titanic and Jurassic Park do not and the above examples do not.

I did notice one instance of a possible conversion error for SW: TWA but it could have been a weird lens artifact (though i'm fairly certain it was a conversion error) and even with it, it was otherwise made very good use of the format, and it is no more an issue then the plethora of other errors in every film ever made.

Seen twice , that' ll tide me over till BD release . Mini reveiw (and very unspecific ) Some nostalgic / heart tugging moments , lots to ponder . That final shot , just awesome .

Yes , you're right lots of simalarities . Maybe Goerge Lucas should have held out and made this final trilogy himself .

It has moved to a place holder date. There likely moving the release back as it is still making good money.

That's just a place holder date. The original date maybe changed slightly and the new one not confirmed or possibly, Disney didn't like the date being given away shown for some reason. Even though other countries have dates now.

Just pray Disney AU doesn't screw with us in terms of the soundtrack and extras. They probably will.

Hasn't it only just opened in China and some parts of the world. Disney will almost certainly not want to cannibalise theatrical ticket sales if people think they may be able to get a BD in a few months.

Was very surprised that Spectre is coming to BD end February as that is only around 4 months from theatrical release and 3 months for US.

Is it just me or did the price of the steelbook on JB Hifi start at $32.98 for this and now it is $39.98? Or am I imagining that?

Not imagining it, seen the same thing. Holding out for the 3D release.

There postage also went up from a standard 99c to from $1.89 or something. Robbery I tells ya!

That's seven times more you've seen this remake than me. I've seen it 2 times since release. Once 2d, once in IMAX3D, just to get the various experiences. 2D was still the best. I've probably paid to see it one time too many. At best it's an above average film, at worst an unimaginative remake with different characters.

hmmm so even with a 20% off sale its going to be more than it was originally listed for... looks like should have pre-ordered before...

Spectre is listed as $34.98 for the steelbook, cant remember if that one was originally $32.98 as well and gone up, perhaps need to order that before they hike it up to $39.98 as well....

Although they may come back down closer to release I guess, but being exclusive they can charge more knowing that the collector cant get elsewhere...
