It sounds like most people on this site think DVD's are better quality than
HD Dvd's.....

I do beleive Blu will eventually win, or else well have 2 formats.....

But since I'm A MOVIE FAN, i bought a HD drive for my 360 so i have access
to all the movies....But that's just me
I think this site is a lot more objective than you give it credit. HD-DVD topics generally are moved to off topic, but not outright deleted or locked like some more 'neutral' sites are.

As far as your xbox player, good for you. However, I do not wish to pay for a clearly inferior product when it comes to sound and video. Just because it is on a disc and in HD doesn't mean I have to buy it either, and I love movies.

I want the best video and sound quality possible in my collection. HD-DVD for purely technical reasons can't offer that -- ever. If I have to wait 2 years before Universal or Paramount see the light so I can resume buying their movies, so be it. I am not going to waste my money buying low bitrate crap with DD only mixes.

The two format thing is a pipe dream. History has proven time and time again, that consumers do not want two competing formats for movies or to a lesser extent music. If both formats remain, HDM will stagnate and never lift off. Want an example? It's been 2 years now and still people wait for a format winner before they will buy.

You will not get objective information on a site dedicated to one format or the other. This site is all about Blu-ray and therefore will have a Blu-ray bias and if you go to a place like Highdefforum.com that will have a HD DVD bias. You just have to learn to strip down the nonsense in order to get to the information you were looking for. Sadly, that is really the only option when viewing forums dedicated to one or the other and even the so called "neutral" forums are the same.

There's no pending Ghost Busters movie. The next Ghost Busters sequel coming to Blu-ray via the PlayStation 3 (as well on DVD on the Xbox 360 reportedly) as a video game, and completely skipping the cinema format completely.

PS, you have access to all movies if you only have a Blu-ray player: you can play DVDs.
I could care less about that, it's a free market, the better format(BR) will
eventually win....If movies come out on both formats i always buy BR, but
i wanted Transformers and Borne Ult. in a hd format.....i Hate DVD's

In France (and Europe maybe as we always steal ads from other countries) the 300 ad showed the 3 boxes (DVD, DHD DVD, Blu-ray), then a red screen ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... the Blu-ray sumbol with a guy saying "see 300in HiDef on Blu-ray on PS3" taht was some months ago
