This review says the extras for The Secret Life of Pets are also on the 3D disc. Is that correct?

Playing the Blu-ray 3D and choosing Mini-Movies in the top menu, the 3D display states: "3D signal is detected, 3D is now on", but each mini-movie plays in 2D while in 3D mode.

Bought the 3D disc on eBay for $10. It also has all the extras so no need for the 2D Blu-ray.

Old movie but my first time seeing it. In terms of 3D and audio this is a movie of two halves. The first half has nice medium 3D with the occasional pop out. The 2nd half is up there with the best 3D that Illumination has ever done. Medium strong to strong 3D throughout with Despicable Me 2 pop-outs. The Atmos audio has a couple of nice height moments and quite a few LFE moments as well.

This is now one of my favorite animated movies. Very similar to Angry Birds in how both the audio and visuals ramp up half way through the movie. Just like Angry Birds I would have loved this movie in 2D but in 3D it is special. The mid credits scene is fun too. I'm definitely picking up part 2 along with Minions 3D
