The black levels are messed up. If u adjust your brightness it looks good.

As was the case with Divergent 1 and 2 and Expendables 3. I certainly hope Lionsgate doesn't screw up again on future releases.

I've only watched three so far and it goes

1. The Revenant
2. Deadpool
3. BvS

Didn't like the look of BvS guess that has more to do with Snyder though.

Will update list shortly.

Just watched maybe the first 30min of Lucy. And wow, everyone was right. The pq is amazing. You can even see all the imperfections and dry spots on her hands where there isn't any make up when she's opening the case.

Gonna have to rewatch revenant and see if it still holds up as number one.

And the scene where she first wakes up on the bed. And there's a close up of her face. Wow! All the little details your able to see. I felt like I was laying next to her and actually staring at her.

The first time I noticed that on a digital presentation (theater) was Pirate of the Caribbean 2. The makeup on Johnny Depp was very noticeable (not just the eyeliner).

Makeup Artists have come a long way since technology has improved.

Groucho Marx moustache was usually greasepaint.

Too bad I hated the movie. Not gonna buy this just because of PQ, I'd rather get The Smurfs 2 then.

The movie was much more enjoyable in 4k. Lol

But I'd much rather see Scarlet than smurfs anyway.

Wow! I had no idea. Now that we have such clear picture, you can't take any shortcuts.

Hmm, I didn't notice this on my viewing of Ender's Game. It looked great to me. The darker tones when they're at the academy in the early going tend toward the grayer end of the spectrum, but when they get to space at the end of the movie it's pitch black. I just assume that's what was intended.

I have a friend who has been a cameraman at a local TV station for a long time, and he told me all the anchors freaked out about how they looked when they saw the first broadcasts after the mandatory switch to HD.

I heard a very similar story when our local CBS affiliate did their first HD broadcast (they were one of, if not the first in the nation back in 96. To this day they're the best looking over the air HD signal in the area in my opinion).

My new top 6 it is to hard just to pick 5 so many good 4K UHD releases.

1. LUCY
2. THE REVENANT
3. THE SHALLOWS
4. PACIFIC RIM
5. STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
6. GHOSTBUSTERS ANSWER THE CALL

I will be updating op. And I think I am going to add user names along with their top 5 so I can keep track of updates. But still have the top ten votes at the top.

So far I see we all agree on most titles as being pq demo material.

In terms of 2k upcovert double dip titles, what do you guys think about a yes or no recommendation based on votes by us?

Like I've been hearing that the general consensus on oblivion and mad max Fury Road are no, keep the bd.

Where as Pacific Rim and star treks are yes, double dip.

And having a ranking system for uhds. 1 to 10, 10 being the best. And all of us can vote and I'll average it out and list it by title. There aren't too many uhds out now so it'll be easy to do.

Even though I own the 3D Blu-ray, I would definitely say yes to double dip with Mad Max.

I think having something like not worth the upgrade would be good. I have been on the fence for Mad Max, XMEN DOFP and First Class because of the iffy reviews. I picked up Oblivion because I love the movie and the Atmos track I felt was worth the upgrade. Great job though starting this thread
