On the topic of remotes, does the panny 30 player have discrete on/off for seamless 1 button control?

The reason I ask is I have a Crestron Automation system and I prefer a component that has discretes. I am looking to get a blu player and the Panny 30 seems the best currently available.

I test drove the 1000 and I went with the 890 for the tactile buttons.

Like with the Pronto, touchscreen systems, while flexible, isn't as easy to use without looking at it and in a dark room, looking at a glowing remote is often not the best option.
