PS3 vs 360 Games in 2008!

Something tells me FFXIII won't make it in '08. Also there's close to zero chance for Versus. Although I do remember opening FFX on Christmas a few years ago (didn't it come out like the 23rd or something?) I'd really rather them take their time rather than rush it for Christmas.

XIII looks SO badass though. I was beginning to think we'd never see the world map ever again, but now it's back with a vengeance.... (world map and cities will be the same thing, loaded in real time.) Anyway, my roomate has a 360, so no matter what happens, I'll have access to all the exclusives.

I'll have to agree with you here. as soon as sony makes the online gaming better(hopefully with "Home") its gonna blow the doors off the 360. developers will start to take advantage of the power of the ps3 and well see better games in the future. hopefully more 1080p games running at 60fps.

I don't really care what anyone says, I'm a hardcore gamer and the Wii is still my favorite console this generation.

Though I am excited for MGS4 and RE5. Two of the only reasons I've ever owned any Sony consoles. My bet is that FFXIII is going to get pushed to '09, but that's just me.

I'm definitely more interested in LA Noire over GTA4. The premise is awesome, plus, based on the third GTA4 trailer the graphics look attrocious IMO.

There's two Rockstar Games published exclusives coming to PS3, L.A. Noire from Team Bondi and another from one of their Rockstar divisions. This may be the untitled Western shooter shown at SCEA's 2005 E3 Press Conference.

I think it's more about playing the games rather than which is the better machine. I enjoy both systems and I'm "lucky" that I get to play all the games that are available.

I'd go purple too if I didn't think HD-DVD will be obsolete sometime in the near future

u know what sucks @$$? I also have both systems, but my router, linksys wg300, has no support on from the 360!!!!! But my PS3 of course worx like a champ!!!!

I agree with 2008 being the year that pushes the PS3 gaming forward. It seems that the XBOX 360 gaming days are going down. On a side note what i've seen from the Wii is that its suited for a much different group of gamers. Circles that don't normally go into hardcore gaming or complicated games such as the ones found in the PS3 or Xbox.

You said it exactly. I'm a diehard Sony guy, but I am not going to deprive myself of great games. The argument between Blu ray and HD-DVD is one thing, both cannot exist and be healthy and I would have zero interest in buying two separate formats anyway, but there is more than enough room for the PS3 and 360 to co-exist peacefully.

People bashing the 360 hardware have valid reasons for doing so, but if anyone says all 360 games are crap has obviously never played it or is a fanboy. I'm not a fanboy, I'm a gamer and am lucky to be able to play both. The only reason I don't have a Wii is because there are only two games I want for it so far and I don't like the controller.

I don't quite see the distinction you're making here. The format war, to me, is the exact same thing as the console war. Why can't both formats exist and be healthy? Wouldn't buying exclusive movies on both formats be the exact same thing as buying exclusive games on both consoles? Sure, its more convenient if everything was on one format, but its not. Thats why some people buy two or more consoles, so that they can play all the exclusive games. And I'm sure thats why some people are purple, so that they can enjoy all the exclusive movies out on both formats. They don't want to deprive themselves of great movies, so they have both formats.
