PS3 vs 360 Games in 2008!

Ive compiled a list of exclusives for each console for next year. remember that the games can change exclusivity anytime in the future and games can often be delayed futher. but so far for 08 it looks like the PS3 will be kicking some MAJOR @$$!

God of War 3 is supposed to be an 08 release as is RE5 for both systems....

if we can get KZ2, MGS4, GoW3 and FFXIII all in one year...that's just crazy...

not to mention GTA IV and RE5....

that's the sound of me going broke..

yeah..count me too,forget the wii....all the parents buy that for there two kids,thats why sales are high..oh dont forget the old people in retirement homes playing wii sports together...

Nah, you may have missed the boat. I have both the Wii and the the PS3 and they fill totally different roles and are not to be compared. You may be missing a great deal of fun by being hung up on resolution. After all, the graphics on the PS3, both movies and games, are spectacular but are the games as fun to play as those on the Wii with that kick ass remote? I doubt it but to each his own. By the way, I am not the parent of two little kids or in a retirement home. I have one son, age 16, and am as damn savvy about A/V as anyone you may meet. My system will bring the house down as I like to loud. So, remember you are not comparing the same things. Are the Wii games more fun? Damn right! Are the graphics and movies kick ass on the PS3. Damn right! Nothing new to this outlook but it does bear repeating.

I just don't get folks calling any 360 owner lucky...any one of us could own a 360 but, as in the case of the cheap A2s, we chose to go with a winner...a solid 2% defective machines rather than 33% defective machines...

I'll have to agree with you here. as soon as sony makes the online gaming better(hopefully with "Home") its gonna blow the doors off the 360. developers will start to take advantage of the power of the ps3 and well see better games in the future. hopefully more 1080p games running at 60fps.

I think it's more about playing the games rather than which is the better machine. I enjoy both systems and I'm "lucky" that I get to play all the games that are available.

I'd go purple too if I didn't think HD-DVD will be obsolete sometime in the near future

You said it exactly. I'm a diehard Sony guy, but I am not going to deprive myself of great games. The argument between Blu ray and HD-DVD is one thing, both cannot exist and be healthy and I would have zero interest in buying two separate formats anyway, but there is more than enough room for the PS3 and 360 to co-exist peacefully.

People bashing the 360 hardware have valid reasons for doing so, but if anyone says all 360 games are crap has obviously never played it or is a fanboy. I'm not a fanboy, I'm a gamer and am lucky to be able to play both. The only reason I don't have a Wii is because there are only two games I want for it so far and I don't like the controller.

Something tells me FFXIII won't make it in '08. Also there's close to zero chance for Versus. Although I do remember opening FFX on Christmas a few years ago (didn't it come out like the 23rd or something?) I'd really rather them take their time rather than rush it for Christmas.

XIII looks SO badass though. I was beginning to think we'd never see the world map ever again, but now it's back with a vengeance.... (world map and cities will be the same thing, loaded in real time.) Anyway, my roomate has a 360, so no matter what happens, I'll have access to all the exclusives.

PS3 seems to have a lot more better exclusives heading to it in 08, Xbox 360 has already had it's best exclusives or should i say timed exclusives considering Bioshock & Mass Effect will probably make their way to the PS3 in 08

PS3 is going to be the "Year of the PS3" as many have stated, OK, first year for PS3 didn't go all that smooth as they probably planned but coming towards the end of the year they've tried to correct a lot of stuff, they've now placed themselves at a reasonable price, theres a lot more games to play & a lot more blu-ray movies to enjoy as well

Xbox in comparison isn't exactly the shining ray of light they've made out, they had the red rings of death fiasco blowing the biggest hole in any companies pocket that has made consoles to date i beleive & they've practically bombed in japan while the PS3 has been pretty strong in all three continents with sales actually doing pretty well against the 360 if you look at each console from it's inception time

OK, the Nintendo Wii has smashed all sales records & practically been a sell out & suprise for everybody but like everybody's been saying, it's a novelty that everybody wants to have & once everybody that wants one has had their fill it'll eventually die down & then people will look to something more long term like the PS3 or Xbox to get HD gaming & make use of the HDTV they have

Another exclusive you should put on the list i think while not being strictly a game i guess is HOME

Alan Wake is not Xbox360 exclusive. It is also for the PC. So on a technicallity it is a Microsoft exclusive though.
