You tell people to STFU if they're having conversations during the movie

Same thing if they check their phones.

Maybe you chose to sit in an ideal spot i.e. the centre of the row.

So, you'd rather have someone ruin the experience that you paid your hard earned money for? Boy... the world would be a terrible place if nobody stood up for their rights.

I don't remember the movie. It was a year ago. Everyone was getting frustrated. So I did what no one else would. Mind you I'm normally very laid back and not full of muscles. But I'm not afraid to defend myself. I will never throw a punch first. Before I knew it I was standing. I told a group of people that wouldn't shut up. If you want to talk go the **** outside or shut up! People clapped and they we're quiet for the rest of the movie. In this day and age I know it's a bit risky.

No because I don't go to the theater at times where that would happen. I go during the afternoon or on weekdays. Or on weekday afternoons. I haven't had a problem in 10 years.

I wasn't judging the people who do say something, in fact I'm glad they do. But that ain't me. I had a bad theater experience and I fixed it so it wouldn't happen again. It's worked great thus far.

Now I wanna sit next to some of you and make you uncomfortable in theaters. Stare at you while drinking and making slurping sounds with my straw. Awkwardly move around a lot in my seat and get ever so closer.

Now I know what I wanna do with my life. Just get all up in someone's personal space. I wouldn't do it for realz, but the idea sounds hilarious.

Threatening violence to an inconsiderate person in a public place = "standing up for your rights." LOL

Certainly not my story. But there was an old man who shot and killed a guy who was talking on his cell phone during The Lone Survivor. And I'm certain no one is surprised it happened in Florida. And of course the gunman's attorneys are arguing that he acted in self-defense under Florida's "stand your ground" law. There still has not been a trial.

I don't think any story I have will ever beat that one. And I certainly hope not. I try to be a pretty non-confrontational guy. I usually move my seat if someone is bothering me. I'm not looking to get shot.

I believe that the only crazy thing was me and my dad went to go and see one of the Texas Chainsaw sequel films and i believe that these two guy's ended up getting into it and where about to come close to a fist fight and someone in there went to get a Manager and think they called the cops on them too from what i remember it was so long ago though. The usual stuff is mostly people that kinda can't really shut up during the film or talk just loud enough that u can only hear them but i usually don't say too much and just sit back and enjoy what i'm about to watch on the big screen anymore.

Yeah, I was trying to recall the particulars of that incident. The old man was telling him to stop talking and the a-hole didn't and the old man left the auditorium and when he came back the jerk said, "what did you do, tell on me?" and then the old dude got scared at the guy's escalating behavior and shot him.
It one of those stories where it depends on whose version you believe. Too bad people just act civilized and considerate for 2 stinking hours.

Who do you want to fight -- the little or old guy who may be carrying a gun or the huge dude or the guy your size who may just have mad fighting prowess.
Me, I don't want to beat up somebody cause they're a jerk or worse get beat up or shot by a jerk.
It's pretty rare that a really obnoxious person is in my showings.

Did you seriously just defend a murderer? And even worse, victim shame the guy who was killed?

I never see stuff on release week anymore. I wait at least a week and try to go on a Sunday because of church and football. During the summer I try to see what I like at a drive-in about an hour away from me. 2 movies for around $22 for me, my wife and 2 kids. and I can roll up the windows and hear the movie from my own speakers with no talking people unless it's the wife and kids

LOL. You need a ladder to get off your high horse?
It hasn't been settled in court as to whether it was murder or self defense. A jury will decide and I wasn't there so I don't know. The texter was using foul language and arguing with the old dude -- all the witnesses agreed on that. I think you're an a-hole if you harass and taunt a senior citizen, but I don't believe anybody should be shot unless they are commiting violence against somebody.

So you're just gonna double down on the victim shaming?
