Not many at all if you think about it! nothing compared to the Blu side. I am not trying to be negative. im not here to do so but you also need to understand that when they dont come around as often, they get snatched up quick! Especially with the Potter movies being $20 a piece then on a BOGO. this doesnt help our cause for Warner coming to the blu side.

This BOGO is big for them...

Honestly, it makes me want to go out and buy more titles!
We have an ok sale going on right now at Amazon, alot of things for 19.99 like Ratatouille and many others and some cheaper.

Let's see. HD DVD BOGO + Bourne Ultimatum = 39%

HD DVD BOGO + Time Cop = grinning-smiley-044.gif

Amazon is having this sale so that Warner won't lose some dollars. Warner wants to try to sell all of the HP's on Dud before they announce they are going exclusive to Blu .

agreed... agreed. I will be participating in it as well. However if we had the selection that they are having, I see better numbers for blu.

In all actuality, you are right and it is only one retailer but a large one at that. It is always good to be aware of what is going on.

I will say that I hope that blu does not get caught with its figurative pants down this week (zomg negativity!!!!!!) , because I know alot of people picked up Rush Hour 3 and Pan's Labyrinth last week and those are numbers that we could use this week.
I saved Pan's to pick up friday because of that.

I held off on Rush Hour 3 merely cause I didnt have the funds. I will be buying it this week. I will also get a couple flicks in the amazon BOGO. Ill probably only add 3 titles this week so Its not saying much but I need to counteract that amazon sale as much as possible!

There's a HD DVD BOGO at Best Buy as well. The #1 and #2 HD retailers. Don't think this won't affect the numbers. It could be their week.

It's absolutely nothing to be worried about and only brings more FUD to our usually picturesque forum.
exactly like always that will spike up and slam right back down before the next week starts. all the while Blu-Ray sales stays pretty much the same..winning every D@MN week...that is what matters. a couple day's spike in sales is one thing but winning a whole D@mn year over the other format in DISC sales not in just One region but all of them...at this point HD DVD is just getting ready for its thread to be cut. that its been hanging by all this year.

I don't think so. The impact will be minimal, every week people are crying that the sky is falling and that the week will belong to HD-DVD... but it never happens.

...and it never will.

Not sure about "minimal impact".... Never before HDM (hd-dvd in this case) took #1,2,3 and 4 ranks on Amazon...

I did my part, just picked up Ratatouille on blu as well as a 1gb sd card for my digital frame my wife got me, and a 2yr espn mag scrip for my kids. Total all 3, $52... Nice......

I also think that sales are so slow today on Amazon, that any number can be skewed very easily.

"Have you bought your blu today?"

amazon will always be minimal Impact.. since 2 month now, BluRay and HD DVD are pretty close to each other, around 53:47 ... this doesn,t reflect Videoscan at all because most HDM are bought in B&M store..

All true... and I'll drink to that! But... we don't really know what's the sales volume for the 1st and 2nd ranking titles on Amazon... We've never been there yet...

Its just Amazon moving stale inventory, I wouldnt get excited. Some of these are combos so they are good in DVD players as well.
