This is another "not sure if want" for me. I like the movie but don't love it. Don't own it yet so if I do decide to add it to the collection, why not make it the UHD.

The Big Blue is a Besson film I'd get in an instant if it miraculously made it to UHD, though.

Meh. I'll take getting it two years earlier in almost identical quality for like $13. My regret meter is at zero here.

Aye, it wasn't some massive outlay (even if I did end up buying it, selling it, and buying it again ) so moving it on and picking up the UHD ain't no thang.

Fifth Element is a movei which I originally loved but in recent years and viewings I was always on the fence about this one.

An UHD is a good excuse to give it another shot.

A pitty Gattaca seems to have fallen out of grace for Sony. It's been released several times and given premium treatment, first on the Super Bit DVD and later on the Special Edition Blu ray which holds up pretty well even today. Maybe one day...

No surprise, the recent BD was sourced from a 4k master. Looks like I will have to buy this movie yet again, which I have no problem doing since I love the movie.

Sony actually created a new DCP in 4K as well. (and of course I couldn't make it to either two screenings on the Smithsonian's Lockheed Martin IMAX-laser 4K screen )

on the plus side, and unrelated to 'The Fifth Element' seeing 'Wall-E' on said same screen was a highlight of the summer.

Is that part of the Air & Space Museum? I've only been there twice, last time was in the 90's.

yes it is, their new IMAX -laser/12 channel system is sick - over the summera they were doing a SciFi Sunday series - Alien, Blade Runner, Logan's Run, etc., showing off DCPs on the 4K laser projector

Let's hope we get more of those mastered in 4k Sony releases. I would love to have the MiB series and original Spider-Man movies in addition to this

MIB would be another "kind of want" for me. What I really, really want from Sony though is Lawrence of Arabia, and The Dark Crystal (it's the 35th anniversary this year ). Also wouldn't turn down The Bridge on the River Kwai.

I'd want the first MiB, not bovvered about the other two. I'd buy the shit out of a Raimi Spider-Man UHD trilogy though, which I think we'll get to coincide with Homecoming (theatrical or video, depends on how they want to time it).

if the UHD can match the stunning theatrical DCP - I'll be very very happy.
