Exactly. Yet a lot of misinformed people call Blu-ray Disc a proprietary format. HD DVD is the proprietary format because Toshiba is still the only one!

The Onkyos are an upgraded XA2 design manufactured by Onkyo. So, not exactly a rebadge.

The Venturer comes out of Toshiba wanting it to appear the Chinese are coming (the Chinese are coming! ) and sourcing the A3 from Alco and encouraging it be rebadged (so far very obscurely).

The Microsoft/Broadcom platform is MIA, except I think in the HD DVD side of the LG and Samsung dual-format players which are Broadcom based.

apparenty both the new g3 versions are 1080p according to hcc magazine, is that right? HDep30 and Hehp35 are the numbers here
