Meh, I doubt it'll be better than the Pacino version but hey coehns aren't too bad. I personally would rather see a film like scarface or a new gangster movie. I'm sick of remakes.

I want an original Coen Bros. movie, their last great movie was A Serious Man.

Inside Llewyn Davis was one of their best films. Also Hail, Ceaser was original.

The Pacino one is a classic (don't like the 1932 original), I'm probably gonna stay far away from this one.

Don't care to see Inside and Hail, Ceaser felt like an imitation of a Coen movie.

You're missing out. If it's folk music that's putting you off, I'm not a folk fan, but the film is far more than that.

That's not possible unless you put Al Pacino in a time machine, send him back a few decades and cast him in the lead. Take away his performance and Scarface totally sucks--I don't care how much you like De Palma.

jim1174 said "the original". So Pacino in a time machine wouldn't be needed.

But, regarding the 1983 movie, I agree...take Pacino away and I don't think anyone would remember it.

With this new version, if the Coens were directing, I'd definitely be in.

The Pacino version is and has always been awful. Just because rappers look up to it like it's the Bible does not make it a classic. It's trash.

ASM badly missed the mark for me. I much preferred Burn After Reading, Inside Llewyn Davis and Hail Caesar.

What never fails to amuse me is that so many people now see Tony Montana as some kind of hero, which was never Pacino or De Palma's intention.

I hope they, or someone of equal talent is put in the director's chair, then I'm down for it. I loved Bridge Of Spies, but was very underwhelmed by Unbroken (besides Roger Deakins wonderful work).

It's got Diego Luna as the lead. I'm down just for that.

Awful and trash are a little strong but yeah, even when it came out I never really understood why the poster was in so many dorm rooms.

I'm a huge fan of Pacino, and the poster looks great, so for many it could have been as simple as that. When I was in college, I remember only finding a black/white poster of Pacino as Michael in The Godfather at a poster sale on campus. It didn't look nearly as good as some of the Pacino Scarface posters which were in vibrant color, so I went with those even though I'm a much bigger fan of The Godfather (in fact, I and II are my favorite movies of all time).
