Nintendo's 'fact sheet' for it confirms that is is 1st Person again. Shame, I hate first person games and would love to give a Metroid game a try one day as I've never played one. Maybe I'll check out some of the old ones when the Switch VC comes along...assuming it comes along
![]() Really happy that it is happening for the fans of the series though ![]() Add me to the group wondering just what the heck Retro has been tinkering away at as well ![]() |

Namco Bandai Singapore is working on this one.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...etroid-prime-4 One dev for the studio is even quoted as saying he’s overseeing work on a Ridge Racer 8 for the Switch as well. I know it’s been said repeatedly and known they weren’t working on this but what the hell has Retro been up to? Last edited by dyne; 02-09-2018 at 05:15 PM. |

looks like most of the Starwars 1313 team is now on Metroid. Seems to me like Namco Bandai figured out they had a lot of assets from Starwars 1313 that they could use in another game... and then that light went off in their collective heads once they figured out they could just change Boba Fett to Samus and remove the Star Wars settings.

Bandai Namco my not be the lead dev after all and might only be assisting with assets.
https://mynintendonews.com/2018/02/2...troid-prime-4/ I'm not watching an hour and a half video so who knows. Just reposting the story. |

Oh boy. That's a pretty massive move right there. Only Nintendo would have the balls to come out and admit the game is simply not good enough and straight up publicly admit it has been canned. Other companies just ignore it ever existed and hope people forget about it.
I wonder how big a hole this has left in their roadmap now? Will they fill it with something else, maybe they move around some of the release dates for other games to fill it out. |

Interested to see how this affects their stock price. They'll probably need a Direct with some game teases soon to get in front of it. So if Retro is taking it up now, who the hell has been working on it? Was it Bandai Namco? Also Quote:

I wonder if Bandai Namco were the main developer all along. Was asking for trouble all along if that really was the case. |
