Finally, I sold my Anchor Bay DVD off many years ago banking on the "fact" that this would be coming to blu-ray any day now.

Never seen this but I'm beyond stoked...it seems to have been a holy grail among horror fans the last several years. Based on everything I've read it sounds like perfect Halloween material.

Im very excited, I never could really enjoy the dvd because it has no subtitles ( I have hearing trouble)

I think the old Anchor Bay DVD was non-anamorphic.

Wow. I haven't seen this one since I was a little kid. It was one of the movies a local channel would play every Friday or Saturday night as part of their horror/creature feature show. That and Blood Beach. Anyone remember that one?

I'm sure SF is annoyed -- as they should be -- but the more people who know about it earlier, the more pre-orders that will inevitably happen for them, so it's not all bad in that sense.

I don't even think Blood Beach ever came out on dvd, did it? That used be shown on the Movie Channel way back when. Joe Bob Briggs was the guy I believe on Drive in Theater or something like that. The sand monster or was it a plant? lol

I love when people freak out over possible announcements for movies I have never heard of. To be fair I was not into horror AT ALL until a handful of years ago, other than some of the huge mainstream 80s franchises. Anyway, will watch some trailers of this, seems like a title a lot of people love.

most horror films lately are so awful that even a B-title like HELL NIGHT is considered a sought after classic these days....

I must have seen this growing up in the 80's and being a horror fan, but I have no memory of it. Guess there's only one way to find out... buy it!

It is definitely appropriate for Halloween because everyone in the film is dressed in costumes for the frat party, even though it doesn't take place on Halloween Night.

Well, Blood Beach did actually come out on dvd, if you consider a German hardbox bootleg a release (I have it and it is better than nothing for now, but I would absolutely love an authorized blu ray)!
