I don't have this in any format, saw the series DVD at Wal-Mart today for $10, and I almost bought it, then I saw this,

That.. doesn't make sense? Fox will take it as ok cool we can milk this for all it's worth without doing anything better other than packaging, but yet we only had to produce one season and mistreat it.

Never had the chance of getting the set and I've just learned that there was French subs on the UK edition, so I think it's time to finally buy the series!

I think this is the very definition of 'different strokes....' cos I freaking love this show, and it's predominantly down to the characters.

I'd like the artcards, but I've already got the UK steelbook.

$21.99 isn't a bad price for this. I think I paid around $60 when the series was first released on BD.

I like the show, but I do agree that too much of it feels like set-up for a seven season epic arc and too little of it is setting up why we should care about the big picture stuff.

According to TVShowsonDVD it sounds like this release has even less special features than the previous edition. They don't list a single commentary track....

They are probably still included. Sometimes, because they are technically audio tracks, they don't get listed with the rest of the special features.

I am assuming these are the exact same discs from the old release with a new cardboard packaging, poster and cards. It's a cool rehash but not sure if it's worth double dipping.

Buffy and Angel have to be done from the ground up to get a bluray release. Firefly just has to have the discs repressed. I doubt Joss has any say in the matter unfortunately.
