I will usually open them right away and redeem my digital copy, but I have no idea sometimes when I will see it. I still have a movie or 2 I bought from 4-6 years back on bluray that I have yet to watch. I have intent to watch but finding the time to is a different story. To many shows to catch up on and work get in the way. Although I will get a day or two where I will watch 2-4 movies in a row. Did so a day ago for Baby Driver and Kingsman TGC 4K discs.

Hate to admit it, but I probably have 30 out of the 120 4K UHD movies I have purchased in the last year...not watched yet. Now, on the complete opposite end, I have a few 4K movies that I have shown time and time again because I liked them so much.

I've only been buying blu ray and UHD for six months but I rarely watch a movie the first week I get it. Often I try to get my wife to watch the movie with me and usually fail.

So I've only watched a few movies in the first week I bought it and that's bad considering I bought 65 movies for Christmas.

So far that is only 4 movies (UHD) and one I watched the next day and other other I watched when my brother got into town from over east. Having sat on them for several days after amazon delivery.

But I will probably not help myself watching day one once I get my setup going here....

I try to watch it almost right away but most of the time I wait until the weekend to watch them since its the best time for me. But however with my collection I've been going through them of all my blind buys and I'm coming up with films that ended up not really caring for or just couldn't get into it and getting rid of them. I have slowed down in blind buying and only keeping the ones I truly want. Its helping my collection for sure. I also will try to watch it right away especially if my wife isn't into whatever I've bought either.

I bought about 100 films in November, so...no.

Especially since a lot of things I buy have to ship internationally, I like to wait and make larger orders to save on shipping costs.

Often something I receive will jump straight to the top of the queue, but otherwise I just work through what I have.

Only if they're movies directed by Spielberg or Ridley Scott, my two favorite filmmakers.

Mostly, I like to let my new purchases "marinate" for a while (months or years) on my shelf. It feels anticlimactic otherwise.

*Looks at shelves*

I've got DVDs from many years ago unwatched. Does that answer your question?

Rarely, very, very rarely.

I usually only have time on weekends, Friday to Sunday - as it is, I buy most of my films on release day. Can't recall the last time I saw an entire movie on a Tuesday (unless I had the day off, like today, which I will ironically spend watching movies all day).

It depends on the movie, but most of the time we watch it that night unless it is something that we can't watch in front of the kids.

I don't buy as much as I used to, so I do watch what I get later in the day.

Setting up an upscale Media Room in our new home will likely encourage me to get into the habit of watching a movie or two each day. Being a screenwriter and independent film producer I have absolutely NO excuse!

When Disney Movies Anywhere was transformed into Movies Anywhere I decided to open all my movies with digital copies. To answer the questions I unfortunately do not open my movies until I watch them and the backlog just kept on building. So when I started to redeem the digital copies quite a few had already expired some redeemable some not. So now I open up all my movies regardless if I watch them same day or not just to make sure I redeem the digital codes. This has motivated me to watch more of my movies lately.

Cheers,
CC-

Yeah, I always open them and see what's in there (digital copies, advertising, booklets, whatever) and make sure the disc is oriented correctly within the case (...yeah, I know).

Most of the time I do watch them the same day I bought them. It all depends on if I have time or not.
