Until they give it a single release....that's the best we're going to get.

OR.....

You can do what I did and purchase it from VUDU, they offer it in FULL 1040 HD, bluray quality. I enjoy this one and it's MUCH better than the DVD.

HERE'S THE LINK:

If the standard Blu-ray disc features the improved remaster of Grease (as opposed to the remaster only being featured on the 4K disc), then I might go for the steelbook.

Grease 2 is getting a stand-alone German release. So will probably get the same worldwide.

Nice, I'll grab that. Grease 2 was always my fave, but I'm not spending a dime on a release that includes Grease Live.

There's a German box with just the remastered Grease and Grease 2 as well.

I'll buy the Locker Steelbook and toss the 4k disc in it (if it doesn't already come with it).

No way in hell I'm putting that black 4k slip in my collection.

I caught Grease 2 on STARZ the other night, and honestly kinda prefer it to Grease 1. Don’t get the hate at all. I still want both in my collection though, so I’ll probably get the steelbook.

Not bashing it at all, but I'm stunned by all this talk of Grease 2 over Grease??????
Maybe Millenials or Xenialls who were too young even for the early, major theatrical re-releases to hit them even in grade school?

Not a Millenial or Xeniall, saw both in their original theatrical runs and I prefer 2 over 1. 1 is the better movie, but 2 is more "fun" to watch.

In fact, yes it will. Sunlight is 5400-5600K, whereas shade is cooler (blue) on the spectrum, and to make it "match needs to be around 6500-7000K. So yes, shade registers blue-ish on film, just like in that frame grab.

I share this opinion on Grease 2 although I was born after both films came out. I’ve been watching G2 on OnDemand lately and I actually quite enjoy it. I guess in ways part of me is burned on G1 since it’s the more iconic film. Don’t get me wrong. G2 has its weaknesses but for what it is I like it. G1 had pretty bankable names (Travolta for Welcome Back Cotter and Saturday Night Fever, Olivia for her singing, etc) even for that time whereas G2 had mostly unknowns with Michelle Pfeiffer going on to stardom afterwards. One thing I thought worked with G2 is we have more focus on the characters. G1 has most of the characters playing backseat to John and Olivia’s story whereas G2 deals with many characters situations. Michelle and Maxwell Caulfield are definitely the leads but I don’t necessarily view them as the backbone of the film compared to John and Olivia with G1.

Well, the original film came out 16 years before I was born (and 12 years for Grease 2), but that has nothing to do with it. I just enjoy Michelle Pfeifer and Maxwell Caulfield over John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. That's all. I was more interested in them as characters, and I simply liked them as a couple more. My favorite character in Grease 1 is Rizzo. I adore the film, but I have just a bit more fun with Grease 2.

Grease 2 coming to Blu? Awesome! I really to get Yearbook cover release in one day and pass for a locker collection steelbook release. Will wait to get Grease 2 Blu-ray single release.

Buy some empty Blu-ray cases and put all your 4k in them.

I've been getting 4k for stuff that I don't have already, and I own Grease... but since this is a remaster and everything, I'll just go with that. Plus I have no interest in steelbooks anymore and I will never willingly buy a digibook again.

Yep That's the one I bought All 3 plus The Yearbook for $17.96 Great Dea! I posted about it the other day but it got buried in all the complaints.

I thought about eventually getting the Yearbook if it ever went below $10 but having seen it in person the other day I'm not as impressed. I thought it would be more akin to the quality of a Digibook. I may eventually get the steelbook if Grease 2 doesn't get a solo release.

I was kinda disappointed they didn't at least include a paper yearbook inside the 4k case like the Walmart 3 pack. All these different releases with bells and whistles and the 4k gets the most bland packaging.

I was surprised they even bothered to release a standalone DVD. I didn't even know they were doing one untiul I was at Target the other day.
