I came to this thread because Eureka just released this film as well. Anyone have any comparison between the two releases?

The biggest difference is the Eureka release includes the entire 180 minute documentary "The Wonderful Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl".

Does anyone have the Eureka release?

If so, can your please confirm whether its included version of Ray Müller's Wonderful Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl documentary is offered in SD or HD?

A standalone Japanese blu-ray of that documentary exists . . .

. . . and having just received it, I can confirm that it is, indeed, in HD (and not just SD on blu-ray). Wonderful picture quality.

But Eureka has been known for putting SD extras on blu-rays before, so I'd be curious if that's what they did in this case.

EDITED TO ADD: Sure enough, there it is -- right in one of the Amazon.co.uk reviews of the Eureka release:

Quote:
One of the best surprises on this edition is the inclusion of a very interesting documentary 'The Wonderful Life of Reni Riefenstahl' which, although in standard definition is a very welcome addition.
Just as I thought. Therefore, it would seem that the only HD blu-ray of The Wonderful Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl is the Japanese disc that I linked above.

The Amazon review is wrong. I've skipped through it a bit and it does look like an upscale, but it's in 1080p.

Years late, but here's the comparison. https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x...5&l=0&i=6&go=1

If automated dirt passes annoy you, avoid the Kino. One of those examples where it's wiped out genuine image and not just scratches/dust.

Is this another? Looks like the guy was holding something. https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x...2&l=0&i=3&go=1

Yep, he's suppose to be swinging a cane.
