I think the simple answer is they wouldn't.

Of course just my opinion.

Why would those who support HD and PCM sound for movies want to play iTunes to start with? Play SACDs.

No probs.

mainly my fault for not making my argument more understandable.

As you can see from my post count, still trying to work out the intricacies of posting

... I interpreted the last part as a general philiosophy rather than the context of the thread - ergo direct iTunes support would never happen.

If Apple was to add DLNA support to iTunes it would be done already.

What about the whole issue of coding a version of iTunes that's compatible with the PS3 OS? I'm not sure what their OS is based on (Windows? Mac? Linux? Proprietary?) but that would certainly take time/resources/money, no?

Totally Right, Love that I don't have to pay for music If I don't want to, But I work in a Great Store, and get all my CDs at Cost, so I buy them, and then I get better quality than iTunes

You should see DRM free songs from Itunes soon.. all the competitors are doing so now. There should be programs that can rip the protection from the Itunes downloads. There are progs that do this for wma files from Napster on Windows.

Well a 3rd Party may be stepping in to fill the gap..need to see more details on this but it looks promising..
