Would love it if the TV version of Superman 2 would be included (I would actually pay $80 for that alone), but alas, part 1 got it's love, and now Supergirl is getting the same. Hopefully part 2 is next.

They are trying to copy Borders since that strategy worked so well for them.

Easy pass. Got the first Superman set for a great deal and the first two are the best ones anyway.

I haven’t bought a comic in years, but I preordered Action Comics 1,000 with the 60s variant cover. The original superhero is 80, wow.

That would be a 9 Disc set at least. But unless they went back and did full on restoration/remaster for 89-97, I have no real incentive to pick it up.

8 films? Unless it's already been revealed, here's my guess at the breakdown...

1. STM Theatrical
2. STM Special Edition
3. STM Extended Cut
4. SII Theatrical
5. SII Donner Cut
6. SIII
7. SIV
8. Superman Returns

If I'm right, then I would say that it wouldn't bode well for the SII TV cut coming out, since this would be the perfect opportunity to release it.

Just a question, hope someone will answer:

Theatrical Cut(?)

When Superman first flies to save Lois - just mere seconds before Superman grabs her with his arms, there's a shot of Superman flying and the city as "background". Is it me or the street appears WAY TOO distant from Superman? How tall is the Daily Planet building supposed to be?

That's how the late Borders used to be, as well. It was nice to have a brick and mortar store right down the block from me where I could go and buy books, movies, CDs, and so on. I just loved browsing. They had a wonderful in-store selection, too, of everything from pretty much the entire Criterion Collection to stuff from Anchor Bay and Blue Underground in their heyday. I remember buying that old Anchor Bay box set of "Dawn of the Dead", that Criterion Ingmar Bergman set ('Silent God' trilogy), the Lionsgate "Emmanuelle" release, and two AB Werner Herzog sets, all in one visit.

BUT.... they almost always charged full MSRP retail price for everything. That was their major shortcoming. I believe it was their eventual undoing, as well.

I'd LOVE this to be true, but coming from Warner Archive I have my doubts as to how it's going to be treated:

WAC:
- American Theatrical Cut
- DTS-HD MA 2.0
- Trailer (in poor quality)

Have it released by WB, it could be:
- International & Director's Cut
- DTS-HD MA 5.1
- Audio Commentary (Director and Project Consultant)
- NEW Commentary with Helen Slater and Melissa Benoist
- Making-Of Documentary
- Featurettes
- Isolated Music Track
- Trailers

Sadly, today Vudu is offering the "DC: Superman 80th Anniversary Collection," marked as an 8 Film collection. That contains:

Superman: Doomsday
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
Superman/Shazam: Return of Black Adam
All-Star Superman
Superman vs the Elite
Superman Unbound
Justice League vs Teen Titans

So, I think we're getting something with those eight movies.

I just got an email showing that. At the bottom it says, "Own the DC Universe Movies Superman 80th Anniversary Collection on Blu-ray and DVD on June 5th or now on Digital."

Yep. Had a feeling it was going to be all animated when I saw the keywords for the DD listing said animation last week.
