Waking up to this news was amazing! I was hoping & praying that SF would get this title! Dreams really do come true!

Easy pass for me...Edward Furlong grates on my nerves like nails to a chalk board. T2 is so good I can ignore him but not as the main lead.

Awesome news! Been wanting it on VUDU but they only ever seem to sell the SD version. I can't wait.

Awesome news, I've always really loved this one.

Hopefully Shout licenses some more Sony titles like Nightwing (1979).

Another one I never thought I'd see on Blu.

Too cool to see this is actually getting a release, loved this one.

Definitely 90s horror and I'm sure the tech will be dated as such...but still a cool @ss flick. One of the few other movies besides Terminator 2 and Detroit Rock City that I actually like Edward Furlong in.

90's horror that was put together by marketing executives. Let's try to create the new Freddy Kruger for the goth/grunge and cyberpunk kids. We can have Primus, Mudhoney and White Zombie on the soundtrack and include a theme about violent video games, because that's such a hot button topic right now.

It's absolute crap!

Everything you just described sounds great now that it's the year 2018. I've never seen the film but I love films that ooze late 80's/early 90's. This includes Comedy, action as well as horror efforts. While I can certainly understand why someone would have not enjoyed it when it was first released, everything you just described reminds me of my childhood and in turn makes my nostalgia meter read 10.

This film is great! Trust me, judging by your taste, I'm almost sure you'll love it. Brainscan has been a favorite of mine since it was released on VHS.....I'm pretty sure I still have a poster from the video store. Can't wait for this bluray, amazing news SCREAM!

There is nostalgia and there is junk. For me Brainscan is junk.

Scream is overrated, but horrors like Brainscan is the reason it had to happen.

Each to their own. I saw this film in an empty cinema back in 95 in my teens. Thought it was OK. Revisited it 10 years later and just laughed at it. hah

Okay, I have to admit that I honestly somehow never heard of this film before today. But after reading this thread and checking out a trailer this will definitely end up on my preorder list.

Yep these are the reasons I enjoy Brainscan. The 90s is the decade I first fell in love with horror. I have a soft spot for these types of movies, the 90s horrors are due for a re-evaluation. This might not be a stone cold 90s masterpiece but it’s firmly 2nd tier.

I love this movie. My description of it would be "Sega Genesis Horror". I coined that term just now so don't forget it.

I wish growing up I lived in a house and had a room and girlfriend like Furlong's character did. He had the childhood I wanted in this movie.
