Does the commentary also feature English subtitles?

The Raro release is sold out on their website, but includes the documentary Poliziotti Violenti.

Was the camera negative, judging by the screengrabs, so fadded that even after digital tools the colors could not be fully recovered?

The subject of these Italian police death squads is interesting, I wonder if there are any good books on the subject?

This has nothing to do with the negative. This has everything to do with L'Immagine Ritrovata destroying everything they get their hands on.

If this was one film that got effed up, or one film where they put the wrong, unfinished master out (for instance, the first Dressed To Kill Blu-ray from Criterion), that would be one thing. However, the Raro release of Live Like A Cop, Die Like A Man is intentionally like this, intentionally retimed like this, because, in Ritrovata's opinion, it looks better, and it's their way of saying "See? We did this!" Sadly, that's not one of my sarcastic jokes. They have stated that they intentionally do this terrible color timing - color timing they think is great - as basically a signature of their studio. They do the bad color timing like Disney hides Mickey ears.

I could not, if I wrote a hundred posts a day for the next hundred years, possibly explain why anyone works with Ritrovata, because I don't understand it myself. It defies all logic and reasoning.

On a lighter note, it seems like 88 Films has a Blu-ray of LLAC... that I didn't know about. Svet included a few caps, and while he said it has scanner noise (I can't prove or disprove this, I don't own the disc), just judging by the caps it's leaps and bounds above the Raro disc.

Someone in the Italian Cop and Gangster Movies thread said that this is getting a 4K UHD soon.
Can someone elaborate on which label?
