Got my disc today and compared it to the 88Films UK Disc. FimArt is clearly the winner here: colors look better, the picture is not that bright and the digital noise of the UK-Disc is gone here.

Are the English subs available for the Italian audio track? I know some German releases only have them for the German track so would like to make sure.

So no forced subs on the English track, then?

Can anyone confirm if this release is region locked? Diabolik says B locked but they've been wrong before about German releases.

Alright I just got mine in the mail today, and it is in fact locked, but you can literally just hit top menu and it goes straight to the main menu. It's actually faster to have it in the wrong region, then you don't have to sit through the 40 second video!

Do you know if it's superior to the Raro release? I was thinking of getting the latter to meet the free shipping cut-off for the Kino sale.

I actually haven't checked the Raro, but having compared the 88 and FilmArt, the FilmArt clearly wins in this case. And it does have English subs for the Italian audio track and the compression is also good as usual. Highly recommend it! (Frankly, I don't trust Raro's compression...)

I saw that. I want to get it, but it would be like $60 through Amazon Germany. I was hoping I could order it directly from the label, because it's usually cheaper, but they don't seem to have that option on their site.

I once saw the 10k-Bullet review for Raro's Live Like a Cop, but now, for some reason, the site doesn't work, and given the caps on that site, the Raro transfer didn't look good to me. From what I've seen, unlike 88's, the colour scheme on the Raro is almost identical to FilmArt's, which is a good thing, but the video still has tremendous scanner noise as the 88 release. The FilmArt, on the other hand, has less scanner noise compared to the other two releases, presumably they reduced the sharpness with a digital tool. The current HD master of the film was scanned by LVR more than 7 years ago, which is oversharpened and full of scanner noise, however, FilmArt handled it better.

Grab the FilmArt, if you can. I ordered it on Amazon DE 2 years ago though...

BTW, If someone here could give me some caps for the Raro, I can make a comparison with my FilmArt release.

I can confirm that Raro's transfer looks substandard. I wish I held out for FilmArt's Blu-ray release. Where’s the best place to order FilmArt’s Blu-ray?
