The pressing facility orders cases. The customer may state a preference. Fox and WB use Deluxe, so they get the same "print logo" cases, because that's what Deluxe orders for example.

A single company can never provide all the needed cases, and they all have their own patented designs.
Thanks for the clarification Wicky...Everything gets brought to light in this forum

So far I've seen 3 regarding the bd logo:

- The crappy "painted on" ones
- The ones where the logo "stood out" and had a silver finish
- And the new ones where the logo is like "pressed" towards the surface? xD I guess that's the new ones mentioned in this thread? The logo is a bit smaller, but it doesn't "stand out" of the case and has a silver finish and look a lot better than the utter crap painted ones

I must be confused on this case thing. 3:10 To Yuma is the same case that other companies have been using for a long while now. It falls into the category of "painted" on.

Where as the other cases are "embossed"/"raised" and then "chrome" paint is applied.

Maybe I am missing something and this is the OP's first time at seeing the painted on ones?

UGG!!! That would drive me bonkers, I'm definitely not a binder guy.

As for cases, I really hope that with Blu they don't put too much effort in packaging and keep a very simple yet elegant standard (much like they do now). While I love 'special' cases here and there (Evil Dead Book of the Dead case for one) I realy don't want to get back into the "Malibu Stacey with a New Hat" syndrome.

And flippers: Please Lord, no...

Yea that happened to me on my Crank blu-ray. Way too much sticky stuff left afterwards (sounds kinda nasty now that I think of it!!!)

I agree I hate that I like the imposed one better (Looks Cool) they just need to put the sticker that does'nt go over the Logo I think they have actually made these ones already ______---______ Pretty simple if you ask me.

That's what baffled me. They do have those stickers with no middle so it does not mess up the logo.

Here is the kicker - that sticker is only on the painted on logo cases. The one it's not on and should be on, is the embossed cases.

Go figure
